It has been a wonderful being one of the designers for Gina K's Center Stage Spotlight Design Team for the month of June. Gina K. Designs is one of my favorite stamp companies and to be recognized in this way was a huge honor! Gina has some of the most talented illustrators and designers in the industry on her team and it was a pleasure working with them all this past month.
As part of being Center Stage this month, we were each assigned a stamp set and also given the stamp set Many Wishes which is the One Free with Three stamp set for this month. I love the various sizes of these dandelions and the sentiments. It will definitely be one of my "go~to" stamp sets! I am tickled with how both of these cards turned out and hope you enjoy them as well. I love this butterfly from Take Flight and couldn't resist combining it with this set.
The stamp set that I was assigned for the blog hop was Happy Camper, designed by Theresa Momber, which is such a wonderful outdoor stamp set. I want to share a page I made this past weekend using the fabulous scrapbook sketch by Erika Martin.
She has the best sketches each week on StampTV and doing these challenges has really stretched and inspired me to get scrapbooking the memories we make as a family! I used some of the beautiful new Luxury Soft Sand cardstock. The title for the page was created using the stamp set Happy Camper as well as Lazy Days of Summer. From the sign, I hung a few fish using some linen thread.
I hope you have enjoyed this part of this farewell tour.... The other ladies on the Center Stage Spotlight Design Team are all very talented and it was a pleasure getting to design with them this month :o) To continue on the Farewell Tour Blog Hop, visit the rest of the creative Center Stage ladies (Selma, Carolina, Melisa, Pam and Carla) and Gina too, of course!
Tomorrow the next Center Stage Spotlight Design Team will be announced and also have the wonderful opportunity to work with Gina K. and the Design Team! If you would like to be on Center Stage....get creating and uploading to StampTV your Gina K. creation....the design team is always on the prowl looking for someone else to be Center Stage!
Have a great rest of your day!

Let No One...
I have another card to share using the stamp set Mother Bear from Creative Vision. I think these bears are so cute and love the two sizes that come in the set. I nestled the smaller bear into the arms of his mama and thought the sentiment "Let no one come between a Mother and her cub" just too sweet! I kept thinking the card needed a little something else and added a little bow to the little bear which finished the card perfectly :o)
I did recently receive some new stamps from Creative Vision so I am looking forward to getting those inky and sharing samples later this week. Have a great day!

TECC#73
Taylor from Taylor Expressions has a wonderful sketch challenge on her blog this week that I started working on over the weekend using Tropical Flowers. However, I couldn't quite figure out which direction I wanted to go in when it came to the focal point...I get like that sometimes and just have to put it aside until I come up with something. Well I finally figured it out with a wedding card I needed to get in the mail. I used the stamp set Wreath of Wishes to create the focal image (which is exactly where I had been stuck) and realized it worked perfectly! I was so stoked....really am tickled with how it turned out and so glad I didn't just throw it away :o))
I even did the inside too...
I know that there is a blog hop going on over at Gina K. Designs for her new release this Thursday...so be sure and check out all of the eye candy the Design Team has created. I know I will be :o)

Gina K. Sneak Peek!
Hello Gina K. fans! The previews for Gina K. Designs June Release have officially begun :o) I am so excited to be able part of the Center Stage Spotlight Design Team for this month! It has been a great ride and I truly appreciate the wonderful opportunity :o)
One of the stamp sets being previewed today is a beautiful set of outdoor images designed by Theresa Momber called Happy Camper. Theresa is quite an artist and I love her style...remember Out West two months ago...well she has done it again! There are so many fabulous images that it was hard to pick which one to use first. I love the tent in this stamp set as well as the scenery that Theresa so beautifully drew....just makes me long to get out to the mountains!
Included in the stamp set is this sign...there are so many great sayings that fit perfectly inside, for mine I used Happy Birthday...I am going to tuck this card away for my husband's 40th birthday the beginning of next year.
Did you hear about the new cardstock that Gina K. will be selling starting on Thursday night? I used it as one of the layering pieces, as well as on the inside of my card....
It is the perfect color to go with ALL of her other cardstocks: Soft Sand. As part of being Center Stage, we received a sampler pack to work with (in addition to the stamps) and I love the color and sturdiness of this new luxury cardstock. It is *the* perfect neutral!
The rest of Gina's Design Team have preview projects to share with us today too! Be sure to check out all these links for lots more eyecandy this morning:
Gina, Carolyn, Cathy, Cindy, Donna, Emily, Erika, Jessica, Joanne, Kurtis, Lee, Lynn, Melanie, and Theresa
The other Center Stage Spotlight Designer for today is Carolina Buchting and she has some yummy creations using Rupa Shevde's newest stamp set...and I hear it is quite sweet! :o)
Have a great day and enjoy the rest of the previews!

A Year of Flowers Scrapbook page
I have really enjoyed using A Year of Flowers the past few days. I knew this set would be perfect for the scrapbook sketch challenge over on StampTV. Erika Martin comes up with the best sketches each week and I look forward to getting my GKD stamps all inky. If I can create scrapbook pages using stamps, I am one happy stamper!
I made this using the beautiful large flower inked in Regal Rose. Then I also stamped the flower using Regal Rose Craft Ink onto some scrap pieces so I could cut them out and pop them up on dimensionals (with an added button of course!). The leaves were stamped on Certainly Celery scraps and I used glue dots to adhere them to the back of the flowers. This is a page I am really tickled with how it turned out... These photos were taken about a year ago when my youngest was a newborn. My oldest just loved cuddling with her youngest brother...he is too busy to cuddle for long now though! *~*

You can find all of the details on her blog. It ends tomorrow and the winner will receive the new stamp set she has coming out this week. Knowing Melanie and her designs, it will be AMAZING! Mother Bear Scrapbook page
I created this scrapbook page using the stamp set Mother Bear from Creative Vision. This is my youngest during various months when I was able to snap a picture and don't you just love watching a little one sleep! I stamped the bears to create a border along the bottom and added the sentiment about him always "bee"ing my baby! That is so true...no matter how big our children get, they are always our babies! I am enjoying the way you can see through the Creative Vision stamps to get a nice clean impression. No measuring and no worries, I see exactly where I want to get inky :o)

Saffron Catch
I think this fish in the new StampTV Kit is so stinkin' cute! I stamped him with Memento Black ink and colored him with various Copics. All of the layers for this card were sponged with So Saffron ink and I used a stamp from Tropical Flowers to add a little extra greenery.
It has been a busy couple of days and I am looking to stamp quite a bit this afternoon....hopefully the little one will cooperate :o))
I did get some new stamps yesterday that I am just loving....but ssshhhh, I can't share too much just yet :o) Let me just say....I like these sets VERY MUCH!

Lazy Days of Summer
I am so glad that summer is finally here. I thoroughly enjoy the lazy days of summer...from days swimming, baseball games and other summer activities I enjoy it all and the fact that there is no "set" schedule is just a bonus! I made this card using the stamp sets Sporty Accessories and Lazy Days of Summer. The circles were made using a large sponge dauber inked up with Bashful Blue ink. I wanted to keep the card somewhat clean and simple so tried not to fuss with it too much.
Have a great day!

Friendship
I love the sentiments in the stamp set Friendship. I made this card using Blue Bayou, Soft Sky and Whisper White. I added just a hint of yellow for the flowers from the stamp set as well some yellow brads. It is going to be a busy week, lots of baseball games and my parents are in town visiting for a few days. In fact, today Grandma is making homemade Cinnamon Rolls with the grandkids and they are so excited. The last time they made these together I was in the hospital having their little brother. They are so good....Mmm!
Have a great day!

StampTV Color Challenge
I have the privilege of hosting the Color Challenge on StampTV this week and created this card using the StampTV Kit Summer Eclectic. The inspiration for the color combination came from a new Vera Bradley (Bali Blue) purse given to me recently as a gift from my dear parents.
Just a gorgeous color palette to choose from and I am a huge fan of blue!
If you get a chance to create a card using these colors, upload it to StampTV using the tag STVCC17. You do not need to use Gina K stamps to participate, although if you did your name will be added to the prize drawing TWICE! One winner will be drawn at random to win a Gina K stamp set valued at $24.95 or less.
Have a great day!

Limelight Sketch Challenge #23
I made this for the sketch challenge on Limelight Papercrafts this week. The additional challenge was to use rhinestones, but I didn't have any in these colors so went with pearl-like bling instead. I recently got the stamp set Out West via a trade and knew this sketch would be the perfect to get it inky. I colored the boots and hat with Copics.
Have a great weekend!

Copics Creations Challenge #5
I created this card for a challenge over on the Copic Creations website. The challenge this week was using Copic makers for Clear or Transparent Things. The really exciting thing is that Gina K. is sponsoring this challenge and the winner will win the stamp set Friendship Blooms and a package of Pure Luxury White Card Stock Assortment. No need to ask me twice to try this challenge!
I used the stamp set Flowers for Daisy and colored the water in the vase with Copic BG10 as well as other Copics for the rest of the image.
If you want to try this fun challenge you have until June 15th 12:00 pm CDT to get your card made and posted on Mr. Linky.
Lazy Days
Summer vacation has officially started and I am glad for the break from the school routine! I made this card for the fun sketch challenge on StampTV last week by Melissa. It really is a fun sketch and and is full of possibilities! I may try using this sketch for some Christmas cards :o) I created mine using the stamp set Lazy Days of Summer and the colors Wild Wasabi, Luxury White and some fun My Minds Eye designer paper. I colored each image with Copics and thought the ribbon matched perfectly. Just a nice summery card...the green background I ran through my Cuttlebug using the Tiny Bubbles folder.
It is a nice size card that is different than the standard size cards I usually make.
Have a great day!

Baseball
I made this card for my son who is in the middle of his Little League Baseball season...just a few more games and the season will be over :o(( We enjoy it all, but my goodness it goes by fast! He is all boy and has wanted to play baseball since he was a little guy... now he is almost 10 and enjoys every minute of the season. I used the new stamp set Sporty Accessories and it is the perfect sports themed stamp set and has images for about every sport there is! I used the new Rocket Red Luxury cardstock and matched it up with some baseball themed paper I purchased from Hobby Lobby.
It is going to be a busy day here...the perfect day to head to the pool!
Have a great day!

Late Night Butterfly
I made this card late into the wee hours of the morning over the weekend..., hence the title Late Night Butterfly. I had in my mind what I wanted to do for the longest time, and just had to see if it turned out the way I envisioned it, and it did! I finally got the perfect large dauber sponges that to me are much easier to use and can achieve an even coloring without being all splotchy (if you know what I mean). I stamped the butterfly from Take Flight on a scrap piece of white and colored it with Copics, embossed it with Versamark and clear EP. I cut it out and paper pieced it on top of the one in the main focal panel. I am so pleased with how it turned out... It turned out just as I pictured it! *~* (don't you love it when that happens!!!)
I created another one similar with a slightly different color scheme, but it is postal and hasn't landed yet :o) I had a sweet stamper in mind and hope she gets it soon!

Friends for Life
Creative Vision has their first challenge on their blog A Fairy Creative Place to create something layered with Red, White and Blue. Everyone is welcomed to join in on this challenge and create something to win a stamp set. The last day to enter is Friday, June 12 so you still have several days! :o)
I created this card using the stamp set Friendship. My sweet Secret Sister sent me some star brads in a package recently and one worked perfectly for this card. The background paper is a patriotic designer paper I found recently at AC Moore. The sentiment was stamped with Vivid Brick ink on Whisper White cardstock and layered on red and navy cardstock. I am tickled with how it turned out :o)
Have a great day!

Uh-Oh!
There is a new blog having challenges each Saturday called Scrap and Stamp. This week the challenge was a scrapbook sketch and I wanted to give it a try as soon as time allowed. While our other two kids were off fishing one afternoon, I came upon this scene in my kitchen...our youngest son had gotten into my cabinet and somehow removed the lid off of my Tupperware container of All Purpose Flour. He was having just a grand time playing! Instead of getting upset...I realized for one so little it did look like fun, so quickly ran to fetch the camera.
I used a retired scrapbook kit from SU as well as the stamp set Wee Tees designed by Melanie for Gina K. Designs. "Uh-oh!" is pieces of chipboard I found at a Dollar Store in our area and matched up with the dp nicely. I stamped the onesie with Wild Wasabi ink onto Soft Sky cardstock and trimmed the edges of the oneise with Copic G21. Little Stinker was stamped on the onesie since I thought that was most appropriate sentiment! :o)
I now need to clean my table. I have made quite a mess myself!
Have a great day!

If Nothing Ever Changed
This past Wednesday Gina K. had a new technique challenge on StampTV called Pullin' Pastels. I wasn't too sure about it at first, but my goodness is it easy and a WOW technique.
I took a piece of In the Navy cardstock and with a cotton ball rubbed various shades of green, blue and yellow pastels to completely cover the cardstock. Then I inked my butterfly image from the Eclectic Summer StampTV Kit in Versamark and stamped it the center of the In the Navy panel. To set the chalk, I lightly misted the panel with aerosol hairspray. I finished the card by using Basic Grey Lime Rickey designer paper, ribbon, and added the quote from the stamp set Take Flight. A nice simple card with a WOW effect!
Have a great day!

Home is Where...Your Honey Is!
Mother Bear is the other stamp set I have to design with for Creative Vision this month and it is quite an assortment of clear acrylic stamps. The bears are just so cute and the sentiments are just precious!
There is a little honeycomb stamp that can be added to about anything and I thought the little honey jar he was holding needed a little extra texture. After I stamped it with So Saffron ink, I paper pieced it so he was actually holding his honey. The honeycomb stamp would make a nice background and because it is clear, would be so easy to line up.
Creative Vision is having a sale on the stamp sets each Design Team member is working with this month and my two are Friendship and Mother Bear. They are both just $10 each through this Sunday, June 7th, and all orders in June have free shipping! That is a good deal ...I am one that hates paying shipping and will get around it any way I can! :o)
Have a great day!

Quite a Catch!
On Monday I received the new StampTV Kit and as soon as I finished cutting the new sets out I just had to get a few of them inky right away! I made this card for my husband who is very supportive of my "habit!" :o) Honestly, he doesn't fuss about my messy craft table in the family room and knows I *need* supplies quite often.
For this card, I stamped the image with Versamark ink onto the Pure Luxury White cardstock and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder. Then I sponged both Brocade Blue and Night of Navy around it. A simple buffing with a tissue and the image pops! I layered it on Pure Luxury White and In the Navy cardstock, added some ribbon from the Kit, and stamped the cute sentiment with the new Vivid Inky Blue dye based ink. A very simple card to put together.
I hope you have a fabulous day!
