CSS Sketch Challenge Blog Hop

Today I am joining the uber creative STV Alumni CSS group for the first hop of October, which is a sketch challenge. Hopefully you came via sweet Joy's blog , but if not and you want to start from the beginning, go to the STV forum HERE.

Isn't this sketch just fabulous????
I recently got this fun new set, Lots of Lines, via a publication incentive from GKD and LOVE the lined images and fancy sentiments so had to work it into the sketch!!

The background was created using a stencil and Dylusions spray ink. The focal image was stamped separately using Clearsnap ink and popped up on dimensionals.
Next stop on the hop is Geri...I can't wait to see what she created using this fun sketch!!

Make sure to leave a comment as you go along because we will choose a random comment and that stamper will win a grab bag of Gina K. Designs products! Look for the announcement on Tuesday, October 15.

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day!

NinaB Designs Blog Hop

Welcome to another NinaB Designs blog hop. The NBD team and I have something exciting for you today. We were challenged to create something that uses the NinaB Designs Spellbinders die cuts from non-paper products on our projects. Did you know that Spellbinders dies can cut all kinds of material? Kim Hupke, the Educational Director of Spellbinders Paper Arts did a video showing all types of products you can cut with the dies that you can find HERE. For my project today, I die cut a piece of canvas using the sewing machine die from Sewing Elements with NinaB Designs' dies.

I also used the clear stamp set Sew Lovely from The Craft's Meow, as well as Vintage Backgrounds for the polka dots.  I die cut the sewing machine using sticky back cancas and gently sponged it with Memento Toffee Crunch ink.   I added some corrugated card stock and lace that I sponged with Rose Bud ink.
Here are the dies I used:

Here are the prizes to be won.
Winners will be picked randomly from 5 of the designers' blogs:
Everybody is welcome to comment and eligible to win. Nina will announce the winners on May 22 and have 4 days to claim their prize. Please consider liking the following Facebook pages that are represented on today's hop, so you don't miss the latest news and happenings:

I stamped the flowers with Versamark and heat embossed them with clear embossing powder before applying some Gelatos.  This set is just beautiful and coordinates perfectly with Wild at Heart.

Next up is the newest set from Tami's newest stamp set Masculine Tags...

I sponged the edges of Ivory cardstock and GKD Patterned Paper Pack Pool Side.  I gently sponged the patterned paper as well as I wanted it just a touch darker and the Tim Holtz Tea Dye blended in just wonderfully.  Love the masculine feel to this new stamp set!

Touch Twin Markers Challenge: Friends

Touch Twin Markers has a great new challenge with the theme of Animals.  I know you *don't have to* use their markers (at this point), however, I really wanted to and with my limited number of Touch Twin Markers could either have about anything pink (...wouldn't Lee be happy, lol!) and then realized I had the perfect Touch Twin markers for a giraffe from Zoo Animals!!! I used one brown: BR94 and two yellows: YR21 and YR33.

A Year of Flowers Book Hop

Thank you for hopping along today with the Gina K. Design Team!! If you arrived here from Giovana's blog, then you're right where you should be. You can always go to StampTV to start from the beginning.  The inspiration for today's hop came from Melanie Muenchinger's new book called, A Year of Flowers.

While you can make every design in the book with Melanie’s all occasion “A Year of Flowers” set, today’s samples showcase her coordinating florals, which can also be used with the book's tutorials and designs, and provide endless options and more value for your money. We are excited to share cards and projects we created using some of our favorite flower sets designed by Melanie! We love her new book and know you will too - don't miss out on getting your very own copy which you can purchase HERE!

My sample uses Pressed Flowers:

I did a bit of kissing with the solid floral image using one of the backgrounds from Timeless Textures.  I stamped the flowers with Memento Summer Sky and kissed prior to stamping with Memento Rich Cocoa ink.  I added some additional color by using the same "kissing" stamp by stamping randomly using Memento Desert SandMelanie's floral stamp sets are amazing and love the detail she gives to these beautiful images.
  • Hope you're finding some great inspiration and wonderful designs to get your creativity jump-started!  You can find the newest stamp sets and lots of wonderful accessories in Gina's Store.  And then join us on Stamp TV for the challenges and surprises and crafty videos galore!!!
  • Go to Lee's blog, to continue the hop!
  • Leave comments along our hop today to enter to win one of Melanie's coordinating floral sets of your choice. The more comments you leave the more chances to win! Melanie will draw a name randomly from one blog and post the winner tomorrow morning.  She is also giving away her Crazy Daisy digital patterned paper FREE if you link Gina's video or her post, please see Melanie's blog for details! GKD January Release Inspiration Blog Hop Day 1

Welcome to Day 1 of the Gina K. Designs newest Release Inspiration Hop!  We are excited to share with you
two new stamp sets that were released last night.  First up is Stately Flowers 3 designed by Melanie Muenchinger.
I stamped the flower image with Versamark embossing with Clear Embossing powder.  Then I sponged it with Memento Rose Bud ink which made the flowers just POP!

And next I have a card to share using Mehndi Wishes:
Absolutely beautiful images and I kept this one to Kraft/Red  creating patterned paper with one of the stamp images.  I used Stephanie Barnard Strawberry ink and ColorBox Chalk ink in Creamy Brown. I am entering this into the "Pinteresting" Challenge over on Clearsnap as I was inspired by the red/kraft light fixture.

GKD Release Inspiration Blog Hop Day 2

Welcome to Day 2 of the Gina K. Designs newest Release Inspiration Hop!  We are excited to share with you
two new stamp sets that were released last night.  First up is Special Occasion Tags illustrated by Tami Mayberry:

I stamped the flower image from the True Love STV kit with Memento Cantaloupe ink and spritzed it with some Goosebumps Texture spray.  It gives such a nice bumpy glossy finish to the stamped cardstock.  I do not have the dies that coordinate with this stamp set and find them quite easy to just cut out by hand (until I get my hands on those dies of course).

Next up is the new One Free with Three set, You've Got Style:

I stamped the image, embossed, and colored the image using Touch Twin markers.  Then I went over it with a Stardust Glitter pen to add some sparkle.  I stamped the sentiment on a Grommet Tag and lightly sponged with Antique Linen distress ink.  I added a bit of bling from Want2Scrap and the patterned paper is Times and Seasons from Echo Park Paper.

For even more samples of these new sets, please visit each of the GKD Design Team blogs listed below and leave a comment. The more blogs you comment on, the more chances you have of winning!  Gina will announce on her blog the randomly chosen winners who will each win a fun Grab Bag of stamps from Gina K. Designs.

I used some Tim Holtz distress ink (Peeled Paint and Victorian Velvet) to liberally sponged the stamped floral image.  Then I sprinkled the cardstock with a bit of water and set it with a heat gun to make the fun water spots.

And now for a card using Mountain Wilderness, illustrated by Theresa:
I used the Cuttlebug folder Polka Dots and some Memento Ink as well as Tim Holtz Tea Dye distress ink.

Nature's Greetings Blog Hop

Welcome to another Gina K. Design Team blog hop. Today we are sharing cards and projects using the Nature's Greetings set. If you came from Giovana's blog, you're at the right place. If not make sure to head over to StampTV where you will find a list of all those participating in today's hop.

Here's what I came up with today:

The leafy image in this set lends itself to so many fun techniques and colors...I wanted to keep the color scheme rather subdued so stamped it in Memento Rich Cocoa on Ivory cardstock.  The wording background is from Vintage Backgrounds and stamped using Memento Summer Sky for a nice subtle color. I stamped/cut/sponged twice the flower image and layered with a dimensional dot.
Head on over to Jimmi's blog to see what fabulous project she is sharing with you today!

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day!
Blessings,
