CPS233

I made this for the CPS233 sketch this week.  Clearsnap is sponsoring this week and I used Smooch Spritz in Holly Berries and Gingerale.  It is a beautiful spritz ink that gives nice coverage.  I used some stamps from Layers of Color Flutterescent and Merci Bouquet, as well as the stencil Vintage Medallion.  The bling is from Want2Scrap.

Just a heads up...Layers of Color is having a Fall Release coming very soon... Monday, September 19th to be exact!

   Can't wait to share with you some projects I have been creating as well as seeing what the rest of the LOC DT has made!!

GKD Double Take Blog Hop

For my cards I used the new Stamp TV Kit: Falling for You as well as three colors of GKD Luxury cardstock: Chocolate Brown, Turquoise Sea and White.  The patterned paper is from Echo Park Paper: A Walk in the Park.  Some favorite Spellbinders dies of mine I also incorporated into these designs... Beaded Ovals and Classic Ovals Large.   I finished them off with some Chocolate Stitched ribbon (another fav of mine).

Layers of Color ~ Trio of Cards

Here is a simple set of cards I made using May Bouquet cling art stamp as well as Encouragement from Layers of Color.  Love the quotes Nina included in this clear stamp set and perfect for encouraging little notes to friends.  I added a yellow bow using some gingham ribbon and colored the center of each flower with a yellow Copic.  Quite Clean and Simple, but some days are like that...and that's a good thing :)

I made this for the CAS-ual Friday's challenge which this week is a sketch, which is hands down my favorite challenge.  I used some Hero Arts stamps I got from CHA in January (how on earth I never got them inky in all this time I will never know!)  The butterfly images are from Antique Engravings and the sentiment is from Stitched Frame.

CSS Blog Hop: Sketch Challenge

The sketch was created by Melissa Cash who is also celebrating her birthday today. We decided to surprise her and design birthday cards using her sketch! We wish you a wonderful birthday Melissa and here's the birthday card I came up with:

I made this using the new Stamp TV Kit Falling for You.  I used Lipstick Red and Sweet Corn cardstock which  matches perfectly with Old School Pink Paislee patterned paper. The sweet bird was paper pieced and the sentiment is from Various Verses (the new One Free w/3 stamp set).

Quick card to share today that I made using Branches4flowers from The {Stamps} of Life.  I am a *new* Club Member and just LOVE the clear stamps Stephanie has, as well as the new Colorbox Stephanie Barnard ink pads from Clearsnap.  I was a huge fan of Vivid and was sad when they discontinued the line, but not anymore!!!

For this card I used the new color challenge from the Play Date Cafe this week which I knew would go perfectly with some My Minds Eye patterned paper I had.

A Special Friend Bookmark

I made this for the Fanatical About Botanical challenge over on Moxie Fab.  I wanted to create something other than a card and was inspired by a recent bookmark that the uber creative Keri made several weeks ago which you can see HERE.  I used several Layers of Color stamp sets: Flutterescent, Artful Endearments, and Acanthus Leaves and some new inks from Clearsnap Mix'd Media Inx in Leather and Honey.  It is a fabulous ink for stamping, sponging, and embossing.  I used the Honey for stenciling with the Belle Brocade art stencil and stamped the flourishes/sentiment with Leather. The butterfly was also stamped with Leather and then spritzed with Scarlet Tattered Angels Mist (for the Stampin' Sisters in Christ Challenge Challenge#101 which was to use something from your stash that you 'just had to have' cause you would use it everyday...but have forgotten about...)  And sadly, that was one of many I could have picked.  :(  Guess I need to stamp more, lol!

Friendship

I made this for the Fanatical About Botanical challenge over on Moxie Fab.   I wanted a fresh springy look to my card and kept it the color scheme to yellow, pink and green.  I used the corner stamp from the stamp set Flutterescent and added the "friendship" sentiment from Artful Endearments.  I added a bit of seam binding and embossed the Sweet Corn card base with the Cuttlebug Victoria folder.

Layers of Color ~ Dear Friend

GKD August Release Inspiration Blog Hop Day 3

For this card, I used Echo Park Springtime patterned paper.  There are so many cute images and sentiments in this set and since I love to paper piece reached for this cute flamingo first!  

Next up is Various Verses, the new free with three stamp set...

 I colored with markers directly onto the stamp and die cut it with Scalloped Ovals.  I used the Polka Dots embossing folder which is one of my favorites.

I am actually fairly pleased with my coloring for once, lol!
