Happy Mother's Day

Today I have another quick card I made for A Blog Named Hero Challenge #1 Play Favorites.  I recently picked up Happy Mom's Day at my LSS and used the Word Pops cling stamp to create a fun background with Memento Bahama Blue on Kraft cardstock.  I am thinking this design will work real well for an upcoming stamp class I am teaching.

Special to Me

I have another quick to share that I made for A Blog Named Hero Challenge #1 Play FavoritesI used my favorite floral image from Hero Arts called Classic Tea Flower, which I stamped with Memento Rich Cocoa and colored with Aquarelle watercolor pencils.  Then I masked the image and spritzed the panel with Tsukineko Bamboo Leaves Firework spray using the 6x6 Mini Swiss Dot stencil (which I LOVE!!!) from The Crafter's Workshop.  Definitely two of my new favorite crafty finds and looking to spritzing some more again soon.

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day and a blessed Easter!

CAS: Thank You

A quick card I made for A Blog Named Hero Challenge #1 Play Favorites.  My son needed a quick thank you and kept the color scheme to black, white and brown using Colorbox Chestnut Roan Chalk ink from Clearsnap.
I used the Leaf and Floral Background and Year Round Sentiments two of my favorites from Hero Arts.

I am also entering this into the The Play Date Cafe Challenge:

PDCC115

The Play Date Cafe Challenge has a great color challenge this week and it gave me an opportunity to use some of the new Hero Arts stamps: Greetings and Cling Leaf & Flower Background.  I used Memento ink (Desert Sand, London Fog and Fresh Asparagus) to sponge the colors over the clear embossed image (again using the new Tsukineko Ink Blushers).  I realized I needed something for the bark color from the challenge and used Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist: Pine Cone.

Here is a look at the colors:

I Love You

Today I have a card to share that I made with some favorite new Hero Arts stamps for the Ellen Hutson LLC Hero Arts Wood Take 'n Make.  I used the Cling Zig Zag background stamp and embossed it with Versamark prior to sponging.  On this card again I used those fab Ink Blushers from Tsukineko and sponged with Memento Sweet Plum and Rhubarb Stalk ink.  I have had a couple of questions about the  Ink Blushers...  They are a package set of 8 little sponges (you can see the package HERE), pink in color with very small pores (if you could call them that). I dab them lightly onto my ink pad to pick up color and working in a circular motion apply to my cardstock/image.  I can repeat (as necessary) depending on depth of color desired.  Ink Blushers can be washed and are reusable.  I intend to have at least one for each color of ink (as I am a bit lazy to wash between colors applied, lol!)  The Patterned Heart I stamped with Memento Rhubarb Stalk and popped up with dimensionals on the sponged Labels Fifteen die.  The sentiment is from Year Round Sentiments.   This fab color combo I found on the Play Date Cafe Challenge (PDCC114 ~ Burgundy, Gold and Plum).  Not much gold to be seen (obviously) and used just a touch with the gold circle clip that I tied some twine on.

This also fits the Moxie Fab Cool Tools Week: The Cutting and Trimming Challenge as I trimmed the heart to place on the die cut.
Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day!

CFC15

I made this for the CAS-ual Friday's challenge which this week is a sketch, which is hands down my favorite challenge.  I used some Hero Arts stamps I got from CHA in January (how on earth I never got them inky in all this time I will never know!)  The butterfly images are from Antique Engravings and the sentiment is from Stitched Frame.

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day!

Friends

Quick card to share today that I made using some new Hero Arts stamps that I found at my LSS this past weekend.  Funny thing is we went to this stamping/scrapbooking show in Winston-Salem and the BEST stop of the day was the LSS!  The show was good...just nothing I needed I guess :)   LOVE this background stamp (Word Pops) with these fun circles.  Makes such a fab background and the flower (from Stitched Frames) is just the coolest.
Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day!
