Thinking of You

Two cards to share today using the same card... I used two Layers of Color stamp sets: Gifts of Love and Sentimental Banners.  One floral image colored with Copics and one left plain. This fits the Touch Twin Challenge in coloring a floral image: used Y21 Copic and outlined a bit with YR33 Touch Twin Marker.  I am still trying to decide which one I like best.. I think the pop of color gives it a nice touch, but also like the plain simplicity of the uncolored floral image.

Here is the other one...  what do you think?

This is also for the Lily Pad Sketch Challenge hosted by my dear friend Nina Brackett.  She has is giving away several of her stamp sets as a prize and hope you will head over to the Lily Pad website as well as Nina's blog HERE for a fun birthday giveaway!

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day!

Dear Friend

I made this for the 2011 WCMD Challenge over on the Classroom blog.  There were numerous challenges this past Saturday and I loved the color challenge by Julie and was inspired by her design.  Thanks Julie!!  I clear embossed the flowers and sponged over it with Memento ink and added liquid pearls to the center of each flower.

For my card I used Layers of Color stamps and stencils (Flowering Gems, Sent with Love, The Love Chapter clear stamps and Belle Brocade art stencil).

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

WCMD - Glad Tidings of Peace

Welcome to another stop on the World Card Making Day Blog Hop!  Today kicks off the holiday card-making season and card makers from around the world and celebrating with a fun blog hop!

I made this using Layers of Color Glad Tidings clear art stamp set and some Authentique patterned paper.  The layout is super easy and keeps the circle as the focal point.

Be sure and leave a comment by Sunday night at 10 pm (EST) as I am giving away a Glad Tidings clear art stamp set.  Simply answer this question: What type of images do you like to use when creating Christmas cards? (cutesy, vintage, snowmen, etc.) and I will get my daughter draw a random name and post the winner on Monday morning!  Sound fun? :)
Continuing on with the WCMD Blog Hop... hop on over to see what Ashley Nguyen Newell has to share...
Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day!
