Dad

Hello!  It has been a wonderful month guest designing for Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps.  Korin and her DT are just the sweetest and enjoyed the opportunity to work with them all.  Today I have a card to share using the clear stamp set Timeless Classic.  I stamped the image on patterned paper, added some Thickers letters, and distressing the panel which seemed to work for this masculine design.

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day!

Birthday Cards x 2

Hello...  I am back again with two quick cards I made using the new set Retro Foundations from The Craft's Meow.  I was amazed how quickly I received my order as I ordered Monday...and it was in my mailbox in NC on Wednesday (and TCM is in CA).  That is FAST!  I wanted to keep both of these cards rather CAS and this set is perfect for that.

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day!

Happiness

I was recently at my favorite LSS: Betty's Scrapbook Room (in Greensboro, NC) and had to pick up some more Penny Black stamps.  This time I found Fanciful and Gratitude, the latter of which is a great sentiment set.  This is SUCH an easy design...I stamped the image with the new Memento Pistachio ink and using a Memento Love Letter marker colored directly on the stamp.  Super easy!  I added some red bling from Want2Scrap and a simple scalloped border.

I know I have been lying low for a bit and appreciate you checking up on me.  Just swamped with a busy schedule as the school year is wrapping up, music lessons for oldest winding down with recitals, and baseball is full steam ahead.  Honestly though, this is my favorite time of year and I am enjoying every minute!!  The youngest is playing his first year of T-Ball and he LOVES it.   Sure is fun!!  Here he is checking out his "fans"....

He is a M-E-S-S!
Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day!

Hello chica!

I have a quick card to share today that I made with the clear stamp set Tweet of You from The Craft's Meow and some Teresa Collins Everyday Moments patterned paper.  LOVE her 6x6 pads and just got her new Sweet Afternoon 6x6 pack and it is so pretty!!  I used White and In the Navy from Gina K. Designs and did a little paper piecing with the cute little bird.  The sentiment is stamped on a scrap piece of Everyday Moments patterned paper and die cut with the tag Home Sweet Home Spellbinders die.

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day!

NinaB Designs Blog Hop

Welcome to another NinaB Designs blog hop. The NBD team and I have something exciting for you today. We were challenged to create something that uses the NinaB Designs Spellbinders die cuts from non-paper products on our projects. Did you know that Spellbinders dies can cut all kinds of material? Kim Hupke, the Educational Director of Spellbinders Paper Arts did a video showing all types of products you can cut with the dies that you can find HERE. For my project today, I die cut a piece of canvas using the sewing machine die from Sewing Elements with NinaB Designs' dies.

I also used the clear stamp set Sew Lovely from The Craft's Meow, as well as Vintage Backgrounds for the polka dots.  I die cut the sewing machine using sticky back cancas and gently sponged it with Memento Toffee Crunch ink.   I added some corrugated card stock and lace that I sponged with Rose Bud ink.
Here are the dies I used:

Here are the prizes to be won.
Winners will be picked randomly from 5 of the designers' blogs:
Everybody is welcome to comment and eligible to win. Nina will announce the winners on May 22 and have 4 days to claim their prize. Please consider liking the following Facebook pages that are represented on today's hop, so you don't miss the latest news and happenings:

Damask Dreams

Today I have another card to share using the Damask Dreamweaver stencil which I paired with a retired sentiment from Layers of Color.  I applied Viva Decor White Embossing Creme to the stencil on black cardstock and love how it creates 3D texture as it dries.  Amazing!!  I am entering this into the Damask & Brocade Challenge in the Moxie Fab World as well as in the Dreamweavers challenge on their blog Dream it Up

Floral with Gelatos

Obviously I have a new favorite floral image...  This time I colored it with Gelatos by smearing a little color onto a craft mat, spritzing with water, and using a water color brush to pick up and spread color.   Super easy and this kinda coloring I can handle, lol!  Then I die cut the image using a Spellbinders die and lightly sponged with Toffee Crunch (a new color from Memento).  The background is a Dreamweaver stencil (Damask) which was sponged heavily with Toffee Crunch ink as well and then sprayed/spritzed with Fireworks Rich Cocoa Craft ink spray.

I am entering this into the Spatter Technique Challenge in the Moxie Fab World.  LOVE using my spray ink!

Spring ~ New Memento inks!!!

I am so excited to have the new Memento inks from Tsukineko in the house!!!!!  I drove to my LSS (Betty's Stamping and Scrapbooking Room, a mere 45 miles from my house)  yesterday just to get my hands on these beautiful ink pads and bring them to their new home...sigh.  LOVE these new colors and just a little shout out for her store...she does have an online store as well :P.  Obviously, while I was at the store I also picked up some other items including some Penny Black stamps which jumped into my basket.  Two of my favorite illustrators are now illustrating for them: Laura Campbell and Nina Brackett!!  I was blessed to be on Laura's DT Layers of Color with them and thrilled to see this new door that has opened for them.  Here is what I made:
The background was stamped with Posies Slapstick Cling using Bamboo Leaves. I stamped Scented Message with Expresso Truffle and watercolored the image with some other new Memento ink colors on my craft mat.  Then I gently sponged (with Ink Blushers) Toffee Crunch and spritzed the with Matte Goosebumps.  The flowers were stamped a second time and popped up on small Zots.

Supplies:
Stamps: Penny Black Scented Message (wood mount) and Slapstick Cling Posies
Cardstock: Chocolate Brown, Green Apple and Ivory
Ink: Olive Grove, Elderberry, Espresson Truffle, Toffee Crunch and Bamboo Leaves
Dies: Floral Oval, Large Classic Ovals
Punch: Small Oval (SU)
Bling: Want2Scrap

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day!

So hope you feel inspired with our little hop for you today.

Here is my card for the Knegten family...

I used various Gina K. Designs stamp sets: Nature's Greeting, Vintage Borders (for the musical score), and a sentiment from Faithful Florals.  The patterned paper is from Teresa Collins Everyday Moments and a little bling from Want2Scrap.
