CardMaker Blog Hop: For You, From Me

Welcome to another CardMaker Blog hop!  Today we are focusing on last-minute gift card holders. Often a gift card is the perfect way to go during the Christmas season and I love to have several gift card holders on hand to add a personal touch. Here is mine:

The gift card base is 4 1/4" x 11" and scored at 3", 5 1/2" and 8". I decorated it with patterned paper stamped the sentiment using the blocks and letters from Lots of Letters. This is the newest stamp set Melanie has illustrated for Gina K. Designs and it has so many possibilities!!!
 Here is the inside:
Be sure to check out the inspiration from the rest of the team.  I know that I am looking forward to seeing the gift card holders everyone has created!!
Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day! Blessings,

Happy Birthday

Today is my oldest son's 13th birthday...amazing how the years have flown!  I made this card for him yesterday using some Gina K Designs stamps, including the new Birthday Greetings clear stamp set. Have you tried GKD clear stamps yet???  I used to be a red rubber stamp kinda girl, but this past year have loved the convenience/quality of clear stamps and most impressed with the ones GKD is now offering!  I stamped the star (from Stars) using Memento Nautical Blue ink onto Kraft cardstock and combined it with the dots from Vintage Backgrounds.  I used the Notebook Edge and By the Numbers die-namics from My Favorite Things.

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day!

GKD Inspiration Blog Hop Day 1

The Design Team for Gina K. Designs welcomes you to another fabulous Inspiration Blog Hop!!! Gina and the Design Team will inspire you with many beautiful ideas! And as you hop through their blogs, make sure to leave a comment on each of them because we will choose a few random comments and those stampers will each win a grab bag of deeply etched, pre-cut Gina K. Designs stamps! To see the full list of winners check the Big News forum at Stamp TV a couple of days after the hops!!

First up today is Melanie's newest stamp set Wild Flowers:

I stamped the flowers with Versamark and heat embossed them with clear embossing powder before applying some Gelatos.  This set is just beautiful and coordinates perfectly with Wild at Heart.

Next up is the newest set from Tami's newest stamp set Masculine Tags...

I sponged the edges of Ivory cardstock and GKD Patterned Paper Pack Pool Side.  I gently sponged the patterned paper as well as I wanted it just a touch darker and the Tim Holtz Tea Dye blended in just wonderfully.  Love the masculine feel to this new stamp set!
Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day!

GKD January Release Inspiration Blog Hop Day 2

Welcome to Day 2 of the Gina K. Designs newest Release Inspiration Hop!  We are excited to share with you two new stamp sets that were released last night.  First up is Whimsical Spring designed by Theresa Momber:
I love two-step stamping and so this fits me to a "T" (pun intended Theresa, lol!). I stamped the leaves using Memento Pear Tart and Bamboo Leaves ink and popped up the butterfly a couple of times after I sponged him lightly.

Next up is Tami Mayberry's stamp set: Girl Talk...

This set is so fab and the other stamp sets that coordinate with it just makes me "squeal!"  Too cute to send a snappy little note to a friend!

For even more samples of these new sets, please visit each of the GKD Design Team blogs listed below and leave a comment. The more blogs you comment on, the more chances you have of winning!  Gina will announce on her blog the randomly chosen winners who will each win a fun Grab Bag of stamps from Gina K. Designs.

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day!

My Heart Blooms

I wanted to share a card I made late last night (the results of of a Venti Skinny Vanilla Latte with an extra shot of expresso at 5 pm...so not wise!!).  I used the True Love Stamp TV Kit and created my background with the berry and leaves stamp which I stamped in Memento Black Tuxedo.  Then colored in the leaves and berries with Faber-Castell artist big pen big brush markers (Permanent Green Olive, May Green, Pink Madder Lake and Pale Geranium Lake) on White Luxury cardstock.  The colors move so beautifully when applied one after the other.  The label and sentiment from the same kit were stamped using Memento Rose Bud and Bamboo Leaves ink.  I added a button (due to a smudge, lol!) and some pink pearl bling from Want2Scrap.  Super easy and fun to make create!

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day!

GKD Release Inspiration Blog Hop Day 2

Welcome to Day 2 of the Gina K. Designs newest Release Inspiration Hop!  We are excited to share with you
two new stamp sets that were released last night.  First up is Special Occasion Tags illustrated by Tami Mayberry:

I stamped the flower image from the True Love STV kit with Memento Cantaloupe ink and spritzed it with some Goosebumps Texture spray.  It gives such a nice bumpy glossy finish to the stamped cardstock.  I do not have the dies that coordinate with this stamp set and find them quite easy to just cut out by hand (until I get my hands on those dies of course).

Next up is the new One Free with Three set, You've Got Style:

I stamped the image, embossed, and colored the image using Touch Twin markers.  Then I went over it with a Stardust Glitter pen to add some sparkle.  I stamped the sentiment on a Grommet Tag and lightly sponged with Antique Linen distress ink.  I added a bit of bling from Want2Scrap and the patterned paper is Times and Seasons from Echo Park Paper.

Designs.

Nature's Greetings Blog Hop

Welcome to another Gina K. Design Team blog hop. Today we are sharing cards and projects using the Nature's Greetings set. If you came from Giovana's blog, you're at the right place. If not make sure to head over to StampTV where you will find a list of all those participating in today's hop.

Here's what I came up with today:

The leafy image in this set lends itself to so many fun techniques and colors...I wanted to keep the color scheme rather subdued so stamped it in Memento Rich Cocoa on Ivory cardstock.  The wording background is from Vintage Backgrounds and stamped using Memento Summer Sky for a nice subtle color. I stamped/cut/sponged twice the flower image and layered with a dimensional dot.
Head on over to Jimmi's blog to see what fabulous project she is sharing with you today!

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day!

I Froggot

Finally had a smidge of time to get stamping and had this one "brewing in the brain," LOL!  I love creating backgrounds with sentiments and used the set Gnome One Like You for this quick card.  It appears my style of stamping is transitioning into more clean and simple. Most likely due to a busier schedule...sigh.  We started back to school 3 weeks ago and the schedule as well as the "extra" stuff is keeping me hopping!   For those of you that don't know I homeschool our two oldest and even started a little preschool with our 3 year old.  That makes a 10th grader (think Algebra 2, Spanish and Biology, ugh...), a 6th grader and the little 3 year old who likes to make sure he can get into as much mischief as possible in a 24 hour day :)  The latter is very successful!

I will say I am very excited for September to be here!  Love the crisper mornings we have been having and knowing fall is just around the corner.  September also brings some exciting releases from my two favorite companies: Gina K. Designs AND Layers of Color!!

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day!
