Scored Kindness

Today I have a card to share that I made for the current  Scor-Pal design team call.  I created this cool grid using my Scor-Buddy and even scored the Kraft panel behind it.

The grid is super easy to create!
To start with I used my Scor-Buddy to create a 1/4-inch grid on a  3 1/2 x 4 1/2 ivory panel of card stock as seen here by scoring every 1/4 inch (both horizontally and vertically):

Then I stamped the Floral Thread background stamp (Penny Black) onto the scored panel. Love the tiled look it creates:

In order to highlight the tiled look, I sponged it with Tea Dye distress ink being careful not to press too hard on the scored panel:

Here is a close-up:

After I had sponged the panel I adhered it to the red card stock using 1/4" Scor-Tape.

Background stamps are fun and easy to use with this technique, but smaller stamps work as well. I am thinking next time I will do it with leaves in autumn colors...and snowflakes would be fun too!

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day!
Blessings,

What a wonderful technique, Jennie! I must get a Tea Dye refill. We used so much of it last fall for Dee's wedding goodies, that the pad is bone dry. I will try it soon, promise!

Beautiful card -- you got such deep impressions that your card has a wonderful tiled look. Mine didn't turn out this well when I tried it quite a while back -- may have to give it a second shot!
