Framed Friends and Snow!!!

I recently bought a Janome mini sewing machine and had to try it out right away :o) I will be honest...I have never sewn in my life (all 36 years!) and never did take the opportunity to learn to sew (....Sorry, Mom). I followed the manual directions (which were quite vague) and checked out some tutorials: Gina K. and Jody Morrow (so thankful that they had pictures!!!)   I stitched the Basic Grey designer paper to Chocolate Chip cardstock and adhered it to the Pink Pirouette cardstock using Sticky Dimensionals (which I highly recommend), I ordered mine from Jody and she has fantastic service and they are a great value... (As a side note, the SU ones don't stay sticky enough for me and these do!) I used the new stamp set from Asela Hopkins Framed Friends again and think these images are so cute! It even looks like there will be a companion set for this revealed Thursday night!! Woo-Hoo! Too cute!

As a side note...down here in NC we had SNOW!!! It has been 5 years since this area has had more than an inch of snow so this was a big deal!

My kids loved it and were out at 8 am and stayed busy in the snow playing until dark. They enjoyed every minute and look forward to getting back out there again today since there is no school! :o)

WOW, how much fun is that. My MIL lives in Asheboro and said they got 1/2 an inch and every thing was closed for the day/night. Enjoy it, I hope it sticks around for your little ones to enjoy it some more.

Adorable card, Jennie!! Love the colors and that owl is so cute.

Your snow picture is gorgeous. Looks like y'all got more than we did. I'm sure I'm in the minority, but I LOVE snow. Of course it's not fun driving in it when you live in NC because they don't really have the equipment to clear the roads very well.
