Nothing is Impossible

Happy New Year! I think I am finally back to stamping a bit :) I took quite a bit of time off of paper crafting as I wanted to enjoy the holidays and time with the family doing fun stuff....and crafting just didn't rank high on my list for the past 2 months.

Today I have a card to share that I made using a floral stamp from Penny Black (Petal Party) and paired it with a favorite sentiment from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps (Be Encouraged):
I sprayed a panel with Dylusions Squeezed Orange and stamped the flower using Archival Jet Black ink. The flower was paper pieced with dimensionals and I colored the stem with Copics. I added a sentiment using a SNSS die (Bookmarks and More) and added some pearl bling from Want2Scrap.
I am entering this into the Sending Hugs Challenge over on the Penny Black blog.

How Sweet

Today I have a card I made using some Penny Black stamp.
I used Sweet as Honey and the background Floral Thread and a bit of watercoloring. The background was stamped using Pear Tart and I layered the die cut image which was watercolored (using distress inks).

I am entering this into the newest Penny Black challenge
I have been having a hard time finding crafty time lately...much less blog hopping!
This summer has been crazy and currently the big kids are off to the Wilds for a week of camp and I am still organizing/reorganizing from moving my craft room out to create a home office for my DH. I had NO IDEA I had so much stuff!!! Oh my goodness, this has been painful! And now a new CHA is happening with some fab new products coming and I am in trouble all over again. Biggest must have right now....the new Archival ink colors!!
Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day!

Happy Birthday

I was inspired by a card I saw recently in my LSS, (Betty's Scrapbooking Room in Greensboro, NC) using this background stamps" Glory of Modesty from Penny Black. I stamped the image using Versamark and embossed with white embossing powder before sponging with Memento Angel Pink, Summer Sky and Bamboo Leaves. I stamped and embossed the butterfly from Kisses in the Sun in similar fashion and sponged it as well. The sentiment is by SRM Stickers.

Thinking of You

Hi there!  Just thought I would pop in and share a card I made using a new Penny Black stamp, Kisses in the Sun, that I picked up at my LSS (Betty's Scrapbooking Room in Greensboro, NC). LOVE this collage image! I stamped the image using Versafine Oynx Black and embossed with clear embossing powder. Then I die cut it using a Spellbinders label die and sponged the image (while still in the die) using Memento Cantaloupe and New Sprout. The butterfly was stamped a second time popped up using a pop dot.
The background was stamped using Puzzle Parts and Memento Bahama Blue and New Sprout ink. I added a bit of Want2Scrap bling and a SRM sentiment.
Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day!

NinaB Designs Blog Hop

Welcome to the NinaB Designs Blog Hop! The theme of this month's hop is Stamping Techniques. Nina challenged the team to do a technique, which could be as simple as coloring, die-cutting or more involved like emboss resist, making your own embellishments, etc.
I did a combo of techniques for my card:
I stamped the Penny Black Sweet Dahlia image twice onto white cardstock using Versafine Oynx Black. One panel was sponged using Squeezed Lemonade, Mustard Seed, and Scattered Straw.  The patterned paper from Penny Black Madison Paper Pack was also sponged with Mustard Seed, (just FYI, lol!)
I wasn't sure where I wanted to go next so ignore the markers in this picture :)

Then I sponged Worn Lipstick on my second flower and applied some Distress Crackle Paint.
After it had dried, I sponged heavily with Fired Brick and fussy cut and paper pieced it.  Love the little cracks, posted a pic so you can see it up close:
I added some Want2Scrap bling and added a bit of gingham ribbon.

Here are the products I used:

CardMaker Blog Hop

Welcome to the CardMaker Blog Hop! Today the theme is Metallic Inspirations and we were challenged to create a card that is shiny and sparkly.  This was fun as I am not a sparkly kind of girl, so it was good to be challenge outside of my normal comfort zone. For my metallic, I used Good as Gold card stock and Tsukineko Delicata Golden Glitz pigment ink. The ivory panel was die cut with an ornament  die and embossed with an embossing folder (Valor M-Bossibilities).  Then, I sponged the panel with Delicata Golden Glitz ink and layered it onto a stamped Good as Gold layer which was stamped with a Christmas Story, which you *may* be able to see it in this close up behind the ornament:

The ornament image is from Hanging Treasures, stamped with Golden Glitz, die cut and layered in the center.  A few pearls and ta-dah...done!
Be sure to check out the inspiration from the rest of the team.  I know that I am looking forward to seeing the sparkly cards everyone has created!!

October NinaB Designs Blog Hop

Welcome to the monthly NinaB Designs team blog hop. NinaB Designs is a product designer for a few paper crafting companies including Spellbinders, Want2Scrap, Penny Black, and The Craft's Meow. For this month's hop, Nina challenged the team to create an ornament or tags, which will come in handy in the upcoming holidays.

The holidays provide many opportunities for paper crafters to give an extra personal touch to every occasion.  Whether you are doing place cards for a dinner, tags for gift giving or even just hand made projects using your supplies on hand, it is a blessed season indeed!

Today I have two projects to share that I try to make before the craziness of December hits.  First is an ornament using Penny Black Hanging Treasures and Penny Black Madison Paper Pack.

I stamped the ornament 4 times on a piece of patterned paper from the Madison Paper Pack using Clearsnap Strawberry ink.  Then die cut each stamped ornament using the coordinating Spellbinders 2011 Heirloom Ornaments die.  I scored down the center of each ornament using my Scor-Buddy and glued them together with Zip Dry glue. I added some twine and a heart charm...here is a close-up of the ornament stamped onto the pale blue polka dot patterned paper:

These would be fun to make with kids!!!

Next, I wanted to share some tags I made using the same Madison Paper Pack, the tree die from Sweet Folk Art and a sentiment from Peace on Earth (a beautiful new stamp set illustrated by Nina for Penny Black).  I die cut the tree and layered it onto a die Labels 10 (which was embossed with a Polka Dot folder).

It was very easy to create several in a short amount of time!

Here are the products I used for my ornaments and tags:

The NinaB Designs team is giving away these TWO PRIZE PACKAGES:
