Thinking of You

Two cards to share today using the same card... I used two Layers of Color stamp sets: Gifts of Love and Sentimental Banners.  One floral image colored with Copics and one left plain. This fits the Touch Twin Challenge in coloring a floral image: used Y21 Copic and outlined a bit with YR33 Touch Twin Marker.  I am still trying to decide which one I like best.. I think the pop of color gives it a nice touch, but also like the plain simplicity of the uncolored floral image.

Here is the other one...  what do you think?

This is also for the Lily Pad Sketch Challenge hosted by my dear friend Nina Brackett.  She has is giving away several of her stamp sets as a prize and hope you will head over to the Lily Pad website as well as Nina's blog HERE for a fun birthday giveaway!

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day!

Layers of Color Glad Tidings Winner

A quick card to share using Gifts of Love and Vintage Medallion from Layers of Color.  I kept the colors to black, ivory and shades of green.   I sponged the art stencil using Memento Bamboo Leaves and Pear Tart.

Sorry to be so late on announcing my Glad Tidings winner.....my husband had some minor surgery on Monday and haven't had time to get to the blog to post my winner.  So without further ado the random winner is.....

Layers of Color ~ Dear Friend

Layers of Color is sponsoring a challenge over at If The Shoes Fits...Scrap It.  The challenge is all about showing your green!!  I went with a Green/Kraft color combo and used the art stamp sets: The Love Chapter, Sent with Love and the newest stamp set Layers of Color Gifts of Love.  The background was created using the Elegant Touch art stencil and stamping over it with the wording from The Love Chapter.

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day!

PDCC91 - Gifts of Love

I made this for the Play Date Cafe Challenge.  This week the challenge is a color splash and we can choose which splash of color we would like.... I chose pink, as it is near and dear to my heart!

I used the new clear art stamp set Gifts of Love from Layers of Color.   Love this floral image and all of the lovely details.  The image was stamped and embossed with Clear Embossing powder.  I stamped the flower image a second time on pink cardstock and paper pieced the flowers to add that splash of pink.  I used a Viva Decor Pearl Pen on the center of each flower.

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day!
