Hope Is Faith: Embossed Butterfly

This is my final card for the GKD Guest Designer spot. I have seen just some beautiful projects in the STV Gallery and on blogs...it is just so neat how so many of us enjoy GKD stamps!

I made this card using the stamp set Hope is Faith which includes this beautiful butterfly image and sentiment. I used the colors Lovely Lavender and Creme de Menthe along with White Heavyweight cardstock for the base. The butterflies were embossed on Glossy cardstock and sponged over with Memento New Sprout and SU Certainly Celery to make the butterflies POP! I have been wanting to emboss the butterfly image on vellum for quite a while and thought it would be perfect for this card. I am having a hard time picking which spring color combo is my favorite, and right now I think it is Lovely Lavender and Creme de Menthe, but it will probably change tomorrow, LOL!

Thanks so much for stopping by and hope you have a FABULOUS Wednesday!
Blessings,

Sweetest Blessings

I made this card for two challenges: the Denami Color Challenge and 2 Sketches 4 You #47 . I love chocolate brown cardstock with anything, but throw in a green AND pink with a touch of Kraft and I am over the moon! This came together so quickly, I managed to do it while the kids were finishing lunch...believe me I was moving fast! I wanted to keep the image simple, but also wanted to use one of the Lovely Labels stamps so pulled out Sweetest Blessings to put this little yummy inside of the circle. Now I am ready for some pie...already have the coffee brewing :o) Thanks so much for stopping by...

Inside and Out: GKD Challenge

This is another card I made for the GKD Guest Designer Challenge. I used the free with three stamp set Inside and Out and framed it with one of the stamps from Lovely Labels. Love this sentiment...we are all different, but we all have a purpose. I thank the Lord for creating us each unique and able to shine in whatever capacity He has for for us....
This card was made using the Luxury colors Lovely Lavender and Creme de Menthe. The patterned paper is some DCWV I received as a gift from PaperCrafts. Looking at it now....I may have gone overboard on the ribbon treatment, I just didn't know *when* to stop :o)
Thanks so much for stopping by and have a wonderful day!
Blessings,

Oh Baby!

The stamp set Oh, Baby is oh so CUTE!!!! I made this for Gina's challenge, as well as using flossing thread for the Moxie Fab challenge: Let's Have Some Fun with Floss. I used some green floss for the string between the duckie train...obviously mama duck needs to keep them all in a row :o)
The patterned paper is October Afternoon Ducks in a Row and is just perfect with this set and match beautifully with the Ocean Mist and Innocent Pink Luxury cardstock from Gina K. Designs. I used a stamp from Happy Hearts for the heart shape behind the sentiment and punched it out with the scallop heart punch.
Thanks for stopping by and hope you have a wonderful Monday!
Blessings,

Spring Florals Card Kit

***If you are looking for the Sketch Girls Post, it is right below this one...***

Have you seen the Spring Florals Card Kit? This is my first ever card kit from Gina K. Designs. I was already going to purchase this stamp set....but when I saw the card kit was included it was time for a "Happy Dance" (no...it still isn't a pretty sight!)

These were so easy to make and all of the cardstock is already pre-cut and ready to go! Honestly, I made these three cards in about 30 minutes and that includes finding my stamp set (I was in a near panic when it was under a pile of paper), making a pot of coffee and drinking a cup :o)

For even more ideas with the Spring Florals stamp set, please check out these links:

There are many more projects that can be found in the StampTV gallery by clicking on this tag: springflorals
Enjoy all the samples tonight! If you haven't purchased this stamp set yet, please take note that the free Card Kit will be included with each purchase until March 18th. At that time, the next card kit stamp set will be released.
Thanks for stopping by!
Blessings,

Pressed Flowers SG13

When I saw this sketch I thought some flowers lined up would be perfect and what better set than the new Pressed Flowers (which by the way goes perfectly with A Year of Flowers). I love two-step stamping and stamped the flowers first in Pretty in Pink ink and the outline using Memento Dandelion. The center of each flower was just perfect for some buttons so threaded with some pale pink organdy ribbon, tied in a knot and adhered with a glue dot. I used the GKD colors Innocent Pink, White and Lemon Drop for this card and the patterned paper is more of that gorgeous Webster's Pages.

We sure would like it if you played along. Here is the sketch:

Lovely Labels/CPS155

I used CPS#155 and made this card for the Gina K. Designs Guest Designer Challenge using the stamp set Lovely Labels (illustrated by Nina Brackett). This is such a fun set for various styles and makes creating vintage cards a breeze, especially with Webster's Pages patterned paper. Yep, still using this dp and I have a totally different card with it tomorrow (not vintage at all...but floral). In keeping with the challenge, I used Gina K. Ocean Mist and Innocent Pink (and yep, it worked with the Webster's Pages patterned paper, happy day, happy day!), as well as Luxury Heavyweight Ivory for the base. In order to get the *right* color of Aqua, I stamped off the color once after inking and then stamped the image to use. It gave me a lighter tone of Aqua that fit the card design.
Thanks so much for stopping by and tomorrow is the Sketch Girls next sketch so be sure and check back and we would love for you to play along with us! Believe me it is a GREAT sketch :o)
Blessings,

Spring Florals: Birthday

I made this for Gina's challenge on her Blog and definitely want to try out for her Guest Designer spot for March. Gina said: "I will look at each entry throughout the entry period and choose one winner who will join the Gina K. Designs Team for the month of March. The designer will have the opportunity to participate in our previews, release party and design team/illustrator blog hop challenge and will receive our entire new release including the new upcoming StampTV kit, card stock and all 10 stamp sets from our upcoming March collection!"

Eeks, obviously I am a huge fan of her stamp line/cardstock/ribbon...why everything, LOL and know (without seeing anything) that next release will be a must have :o) I made this using the stamp set Spring Florals and the cardstock colors Creme de Menthe and Lemon Drop to make this springy card. The patterned paper is Basic Grey Origins and works very nicely with these colors. I stamped the flower image twice and paper pieced the flowers to add a bit of dimension. Honestly, I am longing for spring..today with the strong winds it feels about 30˚...bbbbrrrr!
Thanks so much for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

Olympic Challenge

I am enjoying creating cards for the Olympic Challenge over on Moxie Fab... The musical score background is from Vintage Borders and I used Lovely Labels to frame the sentiment from Eclectic Summer Sayings. The panel of patterned is Webster's Pages and I sure hope to find someone online that sells this paper...I bought the last one from my LSS :o)
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!
