Screened Trees

I made this card for the Friday Potluck Challenge on StampTV by Melanie. The challenge was themed "Split Screen"......By splitting up one large image (or several images that make up a focal point) into different pieces, you can extend your design and bring focus to different areas of the image or spotlight a special one!

I knew I wanted to use Tree Silhouettes and various shades of brown. My poor organdy bow would not lay straight so I gave up and allowed it to stay slanted...sometimes you just have to let things go LOL!
That is all for today...after the snow day yesterday, it is back to school. Have a great day!

Long Time Friend

When I sit at my stamp table, I just keep reaching for Tree Silhouettes!   I have another card I want to share as well, but that one will have to wait a bit...:o) I stamped the Sage Shadow cardstock using the Weathered BG and Chocolate Chip ink twice (inverting the stamp each time) then put it through the Cuttlebug Distressed Stripes folder, which gave it a nice aged look I thought. I am also on a huge sponging kick lately and just can't seem to stop :o) LOL! The branch sprigs are from a Martha Stewart punch and add a nice accent to the sentiment.

Well, have a great day!

Back to stampin'

It has been a busy week preparing for a Mother-Daughter Luncheon at our church. I stamped the place cards and programs and was knee deep in finishing that up the last week and a half (a total of 65 placecards and programs...the event went wonderfully). If it is not too cloudy tomorrow, I will take a picture of them.

I made another card using the stamp set Whimsical Autumn...I think I should have put something in the white space over the squirrel, but couldn't figure out what without it being tacky (so this will do).

This is another card from my Secret Sister in SCS...It is just beautiful!

In other news, my little one has his first tooth.... I was/am a little sad about the whole thing, he is growing way TOO fast! I am going to miss his toothless grin when it becomes more visible.
