PDCC70

I made this card for the Play Date Cafe Challenge.  I used Turquoise Sea, Sweet Mango and Ivory.  I brought the green in with some Echo Park Springtime patterned paper.  The sketch is from My Favorite Things #8 which works perfectly for a sentiment as the focal point.  The new music note dies (from My Favorite Things) just won me over and had to add one above the sentiment (also MFT).

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day!

CSS Treasure Chest Blog Hop

Welcome to another CSS Blog Hop!  If you came from Jen's blog you are in the right place, and if not be sure to start at the beginning HERE.  This month we are having a new hop theme: Treasure Chest.  We going to pay tribute to the animal kingdom and create a card using any GKD stamp set that features animals...and let me tell you there are a TON!!!  I pulled out one of the first sets I ever got over 2 years ago... Hip Hop Accessories illustrated by Melanie:

I combined this with the Stamp TV Color Challenge of Creme de Menthe, Red Hot and Lemon Drop.
I also added bow and a little Flower Soft beneath the cute paper pieced hippo.  This card just makes me giggle :o)
Next stop on the hop is... Joy!  Can't wait to see what Treasure Chest design she has to share for the hop.

Make sure to leave a comment as you hop along because on Tuesday morning (March 1st), we will randomly choose one of the comments from all the blogs, that person will get a stamp set of their choice valued up to $24.95!

I am entering this into the CPS 206 challenge as well as into the Paper Piecing Challenge in the Moxie Fab World.  I paper pieced the hippo.

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day!

Floral Spray

Just a quick card to share this morning that I made using the Stamp TV kit Sent with Love.  I added just a touch of Flower Soft to the center of each flower and tied it together with some pink ribbon.  The patterned paper is Echo Park Springtime, a new favorite of mine!!   The Spellbinders dies I used are Beaded Ovals, don't you just love how you can sponge the beads?

This is also for the Moxie Fab World: Stamp It! Techniques Week: The stamping with Markers Challenge.  I colored the floral image with my Copics.

I will be back this evening with a special and fun CSS blog hop!  You won't want to miss some special treasures we have in store for you!
Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day!

My Favorite Things

Last week I saw this beautiful new set from My Favorite Things and just had to have it :o) It is called Who's That Musical Girl ? and I combined it with the MFT sketch from last week.  My daughter has been playing the piano for the past 5 years and the Lord has blessed her with an incredible talent that she desires to use for Him.  Listening to her practice is one of my favorite things!

I used some new Prima patterned paper called Madeline and just LOVE the colors.  The musical score background seemed to go perfect with the image :o)

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day!

This is truly how you can have your cake and eat it too! Enjoy a tasty cake fresh from the oven, while being creative with Layers of Color, pretty papers, laces, flowers, and even jewelry!

I wanted to create a musical theme to my cake and knew the perfect stamp set would be the Joyful Noise art stamp set. I also used two art stencils: Vintage Medallion and Elegant Touch.  I only used two inks: Ranger Tumbled Glass Distress ink and Memento Black Tuxedo. I was amazed with how you could layer the blue ink to get more depth with the stencils.
Here are some more details pictures...

Tasty isn't it? Let's have some more..the next stop on the hop is the uber talented Jessica!

Gina K. Designs Sneak Peek Day 3

Welcome to the third day of the previews for Gina K Designs February Release!  Today we are previewing two upcoming stamp sets.  The first is Live Life Loud by Tami Mayberry:

The images in this stamp set are so very hip.  On this card, I actually used 4 of the stamps from this set...the two worded stamps, floral and the background of the focal image.  The card base is Black Oynx layered with Sweet Corn.

Next up is this beautiful set illustrated by Nina Brackett called Christ is Risen:

The images in this set and sentiments just make me swoon...yep, I said swoon, lol!  For this card, the card base is Ivory and Fresh Asparagus.  I stamped the image on a piece of patterned paper and popped up the sentiment using a matching Spellbinders Labels 14 die.  Love how it matches up, makes this 80's girl very happy to be matchy-matchy!!

For even more samples of the upcoming release, please visit each of the GKD Design Team blogs listed below and leave a comment. The more blogs you comment on, the more chances you have of winning!  Tomorrow, Gina will announce on her blog 4 randomly chosen winners who will each win one of these fabulous new stamp sets!

Gina K. Designs Sneak Peek Day 2

Welcome to the second day of the previews for Gina K Designs February Release!  Today we are previewing two upcoming stamp sets the first is Chocolate Bunnies from Asela Hopkins:

Isn't this little rabbit just the cutest!!!  I stamped mine on Kraft cardstock, cut him out and layered him on some Oval Nestabilities.  I paper pieced his bow because it just has to be pink, lol!   We will call is "Lee approved" lol!

The second stamp set we are previewing today is Little Critters illustrated by Theresa Momber.  And yes, Theresa has done it again and created some beautiful, realistic wildlife and just wait until you see all of the beautiful images in this set!

I know, I know.... "what was I thinking" trying to emulate Theresa's mad sponging skillz!!!  However, I tried...she is the Queen of the Sponge and one day for sure she must travel like Copic teachers to show us all the tricks of the trade.  Other than the bit of sponging, I also stamped the turtle image on Tan Leather cardstock, colored him just a bit with Copics and paper pieced him into the scene. Works for me as I am somewhat Copic challenged and hoping to learn how to use these things at some point!

Gina K. Designs Sneak Peek Day 1

Welcome to the first day of the previews for Gina K Designs February Release!  The GKD DT is previewing two upcoming stamp sets both illustrated by Melanie Muenchinger.  My first card uses the stamp set Spring Basket:

Melanie's floral sets are just amazing and so thrilled for this newest one with the basket!!!  I stamped the basket on Kraft cardstock and highlighted it a bit with Copics.  Then I colored my flowers with Copics and popped them up on dimensionals.  I scored the Lovely Lavender cardstock using the Scor-Buddy, just perfect increments with that handy tool!
My second card features the upcoming set Basket Blessings:

This image reminds me of my children and the stuffed toys they have had over the years. I paper pieced the rabbit and elephant, and colored the bear with Koh-i-Noor pencils and OMS.

For even more samples of the upcoming release, please visit each of the blogs listed below and leave a comment. The more blogs you comment on, the more chances you have of winning!

Thank You

Hello...I am still here just having a hard time getting back into the groove :o)  I think my mojo stayed in California.   I have been home over a week and still haven't put my craft stuff away... isn't that terrible? I certainly think so, lol!  I needed a quick thank you card and thought of keeping it to Navy and Pink since I had some pre-cut cardstock (it really took the "thinking" out of it.  Sometimes that helps when the mojo goes AWOL!!)

For this card, I used some cling art stamps from Layers of ColorBrick Wall and Garden Wall cling art stamps.  The flowers were colored with a pink Copic marker to make them stand out just a bit.  The pink panel was stenciled using the Botanical Swirls art stencil.  The sentiment is from Merci Bouquet which is the first LOC stamp set I bought...I got hooked fast :o)

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day!

Awesome CHA and the Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger

Hello and I am finally back to blogging a bit since CHA!!!  I had just a blast and had the best roomies ever.. it was full of laughing, happy times, calls to home, crazy weather to keep track of, and lots of oohing and ahhing over paper crafting products coming soon to paper crafters EVERYWHERE!! You can see some of my pictures HERE, just friend me on Facebook if you want: Jennifer Scofield Harper and you should be good to go!  I even included pics from the plane as my children have never flown and wanted to see what the ground looks like from the air...

I have a quick card to share that I made for the Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger Sweets for the Sweet...  Oh and speaking of sweet...at CHA, I even got to meet sweet Cath and some other PC gals!!! So exciting, hope everyone gets to go to CHA at least once, it is quite a fun experience!!

Well, on to my card...

For this design, I used The Love Chapter art stamp set from Layers of Color as well as the flourish from the art stamp set Nature Walk.  It worked nicely from the inspiration piece of the tissue paper within the box from the Tuesday Trigger.  I distressed the edges a bit, added some Pinecone Tattered Angels mist and used the new Banner Basics One Spellbinders dies along the left.

Thanks so much for stopping by and hope you have a wonderful weekend!
Blessings,
