One of my favorite things to alter are cheap wood frames from Michaels. They make perfect gifts and are really quite easy to do. For this frame, I used two Layers of Color stamp sets: Touch of Elegance and Christmas Verses.
I used Memento ink: Rich Cocoa and Rhubarb to stamp the damask image and lightly sponged the edges with Desert Sand. Perhaps you can see the Goosebumps Shimmer I spritzed on it... Love my Tsukineko inks and sprays!!

Goosebumps adds nice speckled texture. In the center of each damask, I added a little pearl.
Since Christmas is really all about Christ...I added a Bible charm to the ribbon treatment.
I am considering doing a step-by-step picture tutorial if you are interested. I am quite a simple stamper and this was very easy to do. Just let me know :)
Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day!

Woo hoo! Love it, Jennie! I need me some of that! ;)
WOW Jennie - this is divine! I love the richness of your frame and the colours - YUMBLY! There is nothing so meaningful as a handmade gift at Christmas - something like this will be a treasure my friend. Love the charm and the sentiment - beautiful! Thank you for sharing Jennie - I am now off to Layers of COlor to check out your Faith Art Friday post! {{{hugs}}}
Wonderful Jennie - you have really show cased the frame without 'swamping' the photo.
Blessings
