The Craft's Meow: Baby Shelf

Today starts the previews for five new stamp sets soon to be available through The Craft's Meow on February 21.  All the designers' projects can be seen over on TCM's company blog along with their links for more details, so be sure to check them out.

Today, we are featuring one of Nina Brackett's two stamp sets for this month called Baby Shelf. This set is so sweet!!

I stamped one of the sentiments on a panel of white cardstock and embossed with clear embossing powder before sponging with Memento Pear Tart and Cantaloupe ink. It makes just a beautiful background and added some wood letters for a baby card.

I'll be back tomorrow with another card from The Craft's Meow February stamp set release!  This is such a great release - I had so much fun playing with all of the new sets!

NinaB Designs February Blog Hop

Welcome to the NinaB Designs Blog Hop! The theme of this month's hop is Make it Mini, in honor of February's being a short month. Nina challenged the team to create a project that is either small (mini-cards, mini-boxes, etc.) and/or intended for someone small (babies, kids, even pets:).

I made some mini cards using Nina's set for The Craft's Meow Sew Happy and the coordinating Spellbinders Sew Elements dies. The patterned paper I used for the cards is My Mind's Eye Portobellow Road and accented each mini-card with Want2Scrap bling.  All of the images/sentiments were stamped with Memento London Fog ink.

I thought it would be cute to make a holder for these little cards and coordinating envelopes and made this holder from a 4 1/4 x 11 piece of card stock using my Scor-Pal:

I used some Teresa Collins patterned paper and Want2Scrap bling. I stamped/embossed the image and coloring it with Spectrum Noir markers before I die cut it and the sentiment. While still in the die I gently sponged with Angel Pink ink.

Here is my card:

I stamped the image and sentiment on a piece of ivory cardstock and die cut it with a Spellbinders die, gently sponging the edges while still in the die with Memento Desert Sand.  Then I stenciled the panel of kraft cardstock with a My Crafter's Workshop stencil.

I did a little paper piecing on this one and combined it with some older October Afternoon patterned paper I have in my stash.  The image was sponged with Memento ink and then I paper pieced the egg and chicks.

I stamped/heat embossed the image and colored it with Spectrum Noir markers.  While still in the square die, I gently sponged with Cantaloupe ink and layered it onto a Asian Motifs.  I added some Want2Scrap bling and a sentiment from the set with Memento Grape Jelly. LOVE the font of the sentiments in this new set!!!

CardMaker ~ Basic Grey Blog Hop

Welcome to another CardMaker Blog Hop!  Today we are teaming up with Basic Grey to share some projects featuring the Basic Grey True Love Collection.  I couldn't stop at just one card and before I knew it made three in a very short amount of time!  Love the 6x6 paper pad and for my first card, I combined it with the coordinating Title Stickers and Chipboard.

For this second card, I used both the letters and shapes...the chipboard is actually sticky on the pack so peel and stick... Awesome!

 And finally I wanted to make something for Valentine's Day with my hubby in mind.  In May 1994, we carved our initials in a tree in Virginia so I had to use the Alphabet Stickers with the wood grained patterned paper, Chipboard and Mini Bottle Cap Epoxy Stickers...uber cool little things!

Loving Thoughts of You

Hello friends!  Today the The Craft's Meow DT is having a blog hop to share projects created with the theme of Valentine/Love (pinch, pinch...thrilled to be on the design team and hopping with these creative ladies!!) I used two stamp sets for my card and was inspired by the Tuesday Trigger: Cross My Heart over on Moxie Fab for my design:

I took a panel of Ocean Mist card stock and embossed it with an embossing folder and gently smoothed on some Blank Canvas Studio Semi-Gloss Acrylic Paint from Claudine Hellmuth (which I heat set to speed drying).  I then layered it onto a pink cardstock and adhered to a card front. I die cut a heart and stamped XOXO from Sew Happy multiple times and added a sentiment from Sent with Love.  Very easy!!

Happy As a Lark and some exciting news!!!

I mentioned on Saturday that I had an exciting announcement this week and I am thrilled to announce that I am joining The Craft's Meow Design Team. I have been a huge fan of their stamps and was so excited to receive the email from sweet Lisa!  This card features the stamp set Happy as a Lark and the February sketch challenge which I thought was perfect for this occasion! I truly am 'happy as a lark' with this fabulous opportunity to work with this talented design team!

I sponged the edges of coordinating My Mind's Eye patterned paper with Memento Angel Pink and added a swirl of Want2Scrap bling.  The bird was stamped with Versafine Vintage Sepia ink and embossed with clear embossing powder on pink cardstock.  I added some Swirls Finesse Brown Rhinestone to fancy it up a bit :)
