The Craft's Meow Preview: Choose Hope

 Today is the second day of previews for six new stamp sets which will soon be available through The Craft's Meow on August 21.  All the designers' projects can be seen over on TCM's company blog along with their links for more details, so be sure to check them out.  Today we are featuring a stamp set designed by Angelica Suarez, Choose Hope:

I sprayed a piece of aqua cardstock with Dylusions Squeezed Orange ink spray and layered some patterned paper scraps to frame my sentiment. It was stamped using Memento Luxe Tangelo ink and embossed with clear embossing powder. 

Quite out of my normal design, but I love it!!! :)

The Craft's Meow Preview: Potted Garden and Cottage Garden

 Today starts the previews for six new stamp sets which will soon be available through The Craft's Meow on August 21.  All the designers' projects can be seen over on TCM's company blog along with their links for more details, so be sure to check them out.  Today we are featuring two stamp sets, first one designed by our own Clare Buswell, Potted Garden:

I stamped the image using Versafine Oynx Black ink and embossed it with clear embossing powder. The tulips were coloring using Copics and I paper pieced the pot. The background patterned paper was embossed using an embossing folder.

Next is another set by Clare Buswell called Cottage Garden:

 I die cut a piece of white cardstock and stamped and embossed the bench image (using the same ink as mentioned above) and then stamped the garden images/sentiment. While still in the die, I sponged gently using Tsukineko/Imagine Crafts large daubers and Memento ink.

Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps ~ His Peace and Calms His Child

Welcome to day 5 of our August feature Blog Hops!  Today we're featuring two great sets in a new series of large inspirational sentiments.

  I made this using some Dylusions ink sprays and various stencils. The sentiment was embossed using Versamark and clear embossing powder.

I stamped the sentiment using Tea Rose Clearsnap ink and die cut it using a Spellbinders die. I added some leaves and which were sponged while still in the leaf die.

This is such a sweet set and a perfect companion for the other silhouette child stamp sets. For my card I did a little mixed media with some Farmhouse patterned paper. I applied gesso to mute is down a bit and then applied some red gelato to the edges rubbing it in a bit.

I made this using some Farm House patterned paper and Memento Luxe ink. I covered the back by die cutting a second bookmark shape and adhere it to the back using Scor-Tape:

and of course had to stamp one of the great sentiments there too!

Here is another one I made for my youngest reader in the house:

He helped by coloring it the image and popped it up on dimensionals.

The Craft's Meow Summertime Blog Hop

Hello friends!  Today the The Craft's Meow DT is having a Summer themed blog hop. I can hardly believe that the summer is winding down already, however looking forward to lower humidity!

I used the stamp set In Tandem and gave it a little mixed media treatment:

I embossed the background using a Sizzix embossing folder and stamped the bicycle image using Memento Luxe Morocco ink and embossed it with clear embossing powder. Then I sponged a stencil with some Memento Dandelion ink and spritzed some green Dylusions ink spray. Quite out of the box for me, but was so fun to make!!

First I die cut the poinsettia using red cardstock and stamped/embossed using Versafine Oynx Black and clear embossing powder. It was a bit too red, so I misted it with White Dylusions ink spray...definitely the more subtle look I was wanting!  The patterned paper is Simple Stories.

Love these new dies and will definitely be cranking out some Christmas cards using these this year!!!
