Hostess with Mostess

This card uses the Sentiment Single Hostess with Mostess which is the perfect sentiment to use to create a project for a friend who is hostessing an event.  I made this using last week's CCS color challenge (Ruby Red, Kraft and Creamy Caramel). I used Versamark and Clear Embossing powder to make the sentiment pop and sponged over it with Creamy Caramel. I wanted to keep this very CAS and think I managed to. Sometimes when you don't have a lot of time to design a card, know that a little is sometimes all you need :o)

I don't know about you but stamping time is not quite as abundant as it was a week ago. My brain is whirling with Thanksgiving plans, Christmas gifts and the fact I need to *START* on my Christmas cards, LOL!

Thanks for stopping by and hope you have a great day!

CCS Blog Hop=Blog Candy!!!

I am so excited for our second Creative Clear Stamps Blog Hop and this one is focused on the versatile Sentiment Singles line. Each member of the Design Team will be showcasing a different sentiment and giving a new one away to a lucky commenter!

I made both of these cards using the Sentiment Single Nappy Hour from Creative Clear Stamps. I think this is just the cutest sentiment and while some may enjoy a nap themselves....I enjoy the quiet bit of time I get when my youngest (who is 19 months old) takes a nap! That is what I call "my time"...I can read, clean the house, fold laundry, but what do I do a majority of the time, yep, STAMP! :o) All those other things will be there when he wakes up, hee~hee.

For this card I embossed a piece of Basic Grey Lemonade designer paper with the Herringbone folder.  I love the distressed look it gives to the thinner paper.  I then sponged over it with Pretty in Pink to really accentuate the distressing.  These cards also fit perfectly with the Creative Button Challenge this week, how cool is that? :o)

You can win a Creative Clear Stamps Sentiment Single of your own if you sign up to be a Follower on the CCS Blog (if you aren't already) and be sure to check in on these Design Team Members and leave a comment. Each member of the CCS Design Team is giving away a brand new Sentiment Single that is used on their post today!!! So there are 5 chances to WIN!!!! Hopping our blogs will also give you a chance to win a Blog Hop Badge, which helps earn your way into the January Guest Designer Spot!

You Are Old When...

The Sentiment Singles line of stamps from Creative Clear Stamps are perfect for creating your own style of birthday cards. There are so many sentiments to choose from that you can create you very own sassy card for just about anyone on your birthday list. I made this one using You Are Old When on the outside....

and Huff and Puff on the inside.  I used some Basic Grey paper and Blue Bayou cardstock.  The sentiments were cut and embossed using Nesties and the centers were sponged with Soft Sky.  I have this set aside for a friend who is getting another year older and none to happy about it :o)  Age gets us all...and if it didn't we'd be dead!  So really no worries :o)
Have a wonderful day!
Blessings,

You Deserve the VERY best!!!

I put this card together using I'm Your Friend from the Sentiment Singles line from Creative Clear Stamps by Creative Vision.   This sentiment so sassy and I know it will bring a smile to the one I am sending it to. :o)    If you would like one of your own.... they are very reasonable at only $3.00!!  I used some Basic Grey designer paper with Chocolate Chip and Pink Pirouette cardstock.   Nesties were used for the sentiment and I added a little flower with a pale pink pearl for the center.

Some good news to share...Laura (the creator of Creative Clear Stamps) had another card published in Scrap and Stamp Arts!  You can find the details HERE and we are so excited for her!!!  Laura also has a new newsletter coming out soon with a *valuable* coupon I have heard, so be sure you are signed up so you don't miss out!  You can find more info on the Creative Clear Blog!

Blog Candy....and a card!

I made this card using a sketch from Limelight last week. This sentiment Nappy Hour from the Sentiment Singles line of Creative Vision just cracks me up! Again this time I used two different colors of ink (Sage Shadow and Regal Rose) which is easy to do with the Stampin' Spots.

I know that Creative Vision will be having a Design Team call coming up this week so check out the company blog for all of the details at A Fairy Creative Place (make sure you are a follower to get the requirements and updates) I have had a wonderful experience designing for them the past several months and highly recommend it. The quality of stamps is really top notch and some cute and fun holiday stamps will be available soon! Eeeks, so exciting! :o)

Now to some more fun stuff....
I have some blog candy I want to share. You all have been so wonderful to me and I have some goodies to share! Included in the blog candy are three Sentiment Singles stamps: Nappy Hour, Motherhood and I'm Your Friend as well as some ribbon, Silver stickles and a little bling. I figured with it being my birthday Monday why not have blog candy and celebrate...any ideas how old I am?? You have until September 6th to leave a comment (if you spread the word and become a follower you get extra chances to win, of course) and on Monday, September 7th I will draw a winner!

Not sure anyone has noticed, but I have had quite a few Chinese/Japanese commenters leaving "stuff" in my comment section so I having to add a word verification for a bit...sorry for the inconvenience!

Motherhood

This was a quick card I put together using the Motherhood stamp from the Sentiment Singles line at Creative Vision. I used the new Basic Grey Lemonade 6x6 pad. I added a few matching buttons along the bottom right to tie it all together. I just love these sweet sentiment stamps from Creative Vision. I just found out another dear friend of mine is going to be having another little blessing soon (yep, a different friend than the mom of nearly 7) so I will be sending this to her. It seems quite a few ladies I know are expecting little bundles of joy soon, just so exciting! and just so you know, there will be no more here....I am D-O-N-E, too old to do that again! LOL! :o)

Speaking of which...I have a birthday coming up soon and will be offering some fun blog candy... so be sure to check back!

Extra Little Blessing

Today I have a card made with another clear stamp from Creative Vision's Sentiment Singles line. This is for a friend of mine who is expecting another little one (her 7th!!!) and they know it will be a little boy.  The sentiment Little Blessing (which is on sale for only $4.00) was stamped using Versamark and Clear Embossing Powder and heavily sponged to make the sentiment POP!  The designer paper is from the Making Memories Chloe's Closet line that I found real cheap :o)  The buttons were threaded with white organdy ribbon and knotted through the holes.  This was a very quick card to make and the little saying is just perfect for her new little bundle coming....
Have a great day!

Nappy Hour

I have another card to share using a sentiment from the Sentiment Singles line of stamps from Creative Vision.  I think this saying (Nappy Hour) is so funny and for me, it is so true.  I am most creative when my 16 month old goes down for his nap :o)  Somehow I can clean, cook, and fold laundry, but stamp time is harder to come by when he is underfoot.

VBS is going very well...the week is flying by and I have been stamping up a storm while my little one naps in the afternoon (hence another reason I love this sentiment!)

**Blog Candy Alert**  Tina is having some fun blog candy over on her blog today...She is giving away blog candy that will include a Gina K. stamp set, I am all over that one! :o)

Have a great day!
