 Today I wanted to share a card I made for January Sketch Challenge for The Craft's Meow. I used the stamp set Sew Happy and coordinating Spellbinders Sewing Elements.  I also combined it with the Moxie Fab Create Your Own Background Challenge by using a polka dot stencil from The Crafter's Workshop to create my own background.  

Have you seen the pictures from CHA?  One of my favorite trends continuing that I am thrilled about is wood veneers....so I included a few hearts on mine.  Can't wait to get a hold of some of the other fun shapes!!!

NinaB Designs January 2013 Blog Hop

Welcome to the NinaB Designs* first team blog hop of 2013! We hope you have had a relaxing holiday break and ready to join us for another year of inspirations and prizes!

*NinaB Designs is a product designer for a few paper crafting companies including Spellbinders, Want2Scrap and Penny Black, and The Craft's Meow.

For this month's hop, Nina challenged the team to create a project with the LOVE theme, which can be interpreted in many ways: Valentine, Anniversary and Friendship.
Here is my altered frame project:

I was wandering around Michael's a week ago looking for something to alter for this blog hop and came across this heart frame which I found for $1...LOVE those kind of deals! The back/sides were painted with Painterly Pink Claudine Hellmuth Studio paint and then I adhered some 12x12 Echo Park Victoria Gardens patterned paper using Scor-Tape.

  For the center of the frame I used some of Nina's stamps from The Craft's Meow, as well as the coordinating Spellbinders dies Home Sweet Home.

 Then I adhered the Blessed piece of chipboard using my Xyron Creative Station, it went through the machine very smoothly. The hearts are little wooden veneers from Studio Calico.

Get Altered Challenge - Using Canvas

Today I have a card to share that I made for the Get Altered Challenge on the Eclectic Paperie blog. The challenge is to use Canvas in some form on your project.

For my card, I used Bottom of My Heart clear stamps from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps and coordinating Heart dies.

I used Dylusions Lemon Zest ink spray and the smaller Dylusions Stencil Dotted Flower on a piece of sticky back canvas for my focal point.  The patterned paper is My Mind's Eye Love Me Do and added some Want2Scrap bling.

This set truly is adorable and have a card to share today using the turtle image:

I stamped the turtle image twice (to pop him up on a dimensional) and colored him using Copics and TouchTwin markers.  I used some scrap MME patterned paper in my stash and accented the card with some ribbon that I pleated using Glue Dots.

   This is a favorite new floral set of mine and here are a couple of cards I made to share today:

  I stenciled a Spellbinders die cut with Dylusions ink spray to create a diamond grid behind the floral image and added some polka dots patterned paper.  I thought of adding more...but figured less was more!

For this card I did some generational stamping (which this set is PERFECT for!!!)
