Thank You...

I haven't used the stamp set Wreath of Wishes in ages and thought of it when I saw the circular floral pattern on this Cosmo Cricket patterned paper from Girl Friday. Obviously I am still working on my Blue Bayou cardstock stash, I hoarded quite a bit I am afraid.

I received some cool storage containers for my clear/unmounted stamps yesterday so really need to get to organizing those so I can find what I need... when I need it! Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day!
Blessings,

SNSS Eskimo Kisses

Can you believe it is the last day of January? Oh my, the month has just flown!
I have a square card to share today that I made with the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps set Eskimo Kisses. Aren't they just so cute! I recently taught my youngest (22 mo.) how to give Eskimo Kisses and it is so sweet :o)

I also have a bit of news to share... If you haven't heard, SNSS is going completely digital with their images! Digis are HUGE and SNSS has some of the best in the biz. Due to computer/internet/printing issues I am stepping down from the Design Team. It has been a wonderful experience working with Korin and the other girls at SNSS and I wish them the best in the future and know will continue to grow by leaps and bounds. :o)
I hope you have a wonderful day!
Blessings,

SG11 and an Award

This was a challenging sketch for me...I know the other girls will have some fabulous designs, but I struggled with mine :o(

I used the new Organize Stamp TV Kit for mine and made a birthday card. I am always lacking birthday cards and scrounging around to create last minute... I am glad I tried it though, it made me stretch from my normally clean lines of design. After seeing what the others create, I may try again :o) I hope you will play along with us on this sketch and make sure you link your creation on the Sketch Girl blog and you may be the winner of a template of your choice from Perfect Presentation!

My dear friend
Olga gave me the sweetest award:

This award requires that I list 10 things about myself and I pass it onto 10 fellow bloggers so here it goes...
10 things about me in no particular order....

1. I love sushi, YUM!
2. I am getting the hang of Facebook.
3. I am a nightowl.
4. I love flannel sheets in the winter.
5. I graduated high school 3rd in my class of 3...
is that last?) :o)
(very small school in Japan...the others were just way more focused than me, LOL!)

6. I would love to work at Starbucks one day.
7. Procrastinating is a great flaw of mine.
8. I love days when I can stay in my pajamas ALL day!
9. I need to shave...my legs!
(obviously I am running out of interesting things!)
10. I am thankful for all my online friends!

I will pass this on to the Sketch Girls!!! Can't wait to see what your top 10 things are! Be sure to stop by and see what they did with the sketch this week. The Sketch Girls:
Annie, Julie, Alyssa, Harriet, Tiffany, Randee, Bonnie, Amber, Katie, Jessica, Sara, and our Guest Designer Laurel
Thanks so much for stopping by. It is snowing here and for NC that is RARE! Hope you have a great day, I know we will :o)

Card Patterns Sketch 48

Card Patterns has another fabulous sketch this week. For my card, I used the leafy stamp from the Organize It Stamp TV Kit and the sentiment from Flowers for Daisy. The patterned paper is from the new Basic Grey Origins which match perfectly with the colors in the STV Kit: Sweet Corn and Fresh Asparagus. I really love this green...note to self: order more!
Thanks so much for stopping by and hope you have a great day!

CAS

Just a quick card to share today. This was a simple design I saw on Stamp TV and had to try myself. I love the CAS look to this (all of the stamp are from the Organize It Stamp TV Kit) and know this could be mass produced in a cinch...

Busy day here with grocery shopping and some mending. Does anyone else put that off? My poor dh asked me for two weeks to mend a shirt and I keep forgetting... ;o) Off to fix that now...Have a great day!

Limelight Sketch Challenge #39

I hope you are enjoying your weekend! I wanted to share a card I made using the Limelight PaperCrafts #39 sketch challenge this week. This time I paid close to attention to the directions ....not real big on always following directions, KWIM? Anyways, with this sketch Mandy wanted us to incorporate Canvas into our project somehow so I used my SU Canvas BG stamp both on the focal image and the card base. I used the stamp set Special Delivery from Tami Mayberry and thought the postal grid fit perfectly with the sketch. Thanks for stopping by and hope you have a great weekend!

Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps

I have a couple of cards to share from the January Release... The first one uses the sketch (minus the twist: a sentiment as the focal point) from this week over at the Sweet Stop Blog and the stamp set Eskimo Kisses. I colored the image with Copics, cut it out and popped them up on dimensionals to give them a little lift. I have so enjoyed the stamps this release and would be hard pressed to pick an absolute favorite.

I have one more card to share using the stamp set Melody of Love. It is a beautiful stamp set with such pretty Scripture verses and greetings.

I colored the violin with Copics and wanted to give it an aged look... Thanks so much for stopping by and I pray you have a wonderful day!
Blessings,

The Best Things...

I am a huge fan of sketches and this week Nina is hosting the sketch challenge over at Card Patterns. I also made this for the Moxie Fab Start to Finish Challenge and did the inside as well. I have been trying to make more of a concerted effort to *complete* my cards, inside and out this year. I used three different stamp sets for this card: Lovely Shelf, The Best of Life and My Cuppa' Joe (for the steamy swirls).

I made this for my daughter who has developed a great appreciation for hot tea. This year her grandmother gave her a whole gift package full of various loose tea, a tea pot, strainers and a special tea mug for Christmas. Each evening (about an hour before bed) she takes off for the kitchen to make the perfect cups of tea for us both. She makes a mean London Fog (Earl Grey tea, hot steamed milk with a touch of Vanilla syrup). Isn't that sweet :o) It is just delightful and something I look forward to each evening. I made this card for her to show her how much I enjoy this special treat each evening. She really is just the sweetest...my only girl and there is a special bond between mothers and daughters!

I combined this sketch challenge with the Inspiration Challenge CIC42 from Hope Stamps Eternal which had some beautiful cupcakes as the inspiration. My inspiration came from the colors of the cupcakes and I used Groovy Guava and So Saffron.

Thanks so much for stopping by and I pray you have a wonderful day!
Blessings,

Moxie Fab: It's Color Play

I am sliding in during the last few hours for my card for the Moxie Fab It's Color Play challenge. I have been thinking on this for a bit and nothing would come together for me so I gave it one more shot this afternoon using Lovely Shelf...

I used Bravo Burgundy, Marigold Morning (both SU) and Soft Sand (GKD) with White. The pop of purple for me came from coloring the flowers with a Copic and this purple flower that Tina sent me...love these big flowers :o)
I hope you have wonderful day!
Blessings,
