Spring Florals Card Kit

***If you are looking for the Sketch Girls Post, it is right below this one...***

Have you seen the Spring Florals Card Kit? This is my first ever card kit from Gina K. Designs. I was already going to purchase this stamp set....but when I saw the card kit was included it was time for a "Happy Dance" (no...it still isn't a pretty sight!)

These were so easy to make and all of the cardstock is already pre-cut and ready to go! Honestly, I made these three cards in about 30 minutes and that includes finding my stamp set (I was in a near panic when it was under a pile of paper), making a pot of coffee and drinking a cup :o)

For even more ideas with the Spring Florals stamp set, please check out these links:

There are many more projects that can be found in the StampTV gallery by clicking on this tag: springflorals
Enjoy all the samples tonight! If you haven't purchased this stamp set yet, please take note that the free Card Kit will be included with each purchase until March 18th. At that time, the next card kit stamp set will be released.
Thanks for stopping by!
Blessings,

Pressed Flowers SG13

When I saw this sketch I thought some flowers lined up would be perfect and what better set than the new Pressed Flowers (which by the way goes perfectly with A Year of Flowers). I love two-step stamping and stamped the flowers first in Pretty in Pink ink and the outline using Memento Dandelion. The center of each flower was just perfect for some buttons so threaded with some pale pink organdy ribbon, tied in a knot and adhered with a glue dot. I used the GKD colors Innocent Pink, White and Lemon Drop for this card and the patterned paper is more of that gorgeous Webster's Pages.

We sure would like it if you played along. Here is the sketch:
The sponsor for the sketch challenge this week is Wild Flower Kids.
Wild Flower Kids has cute digital stamps for every occasion focusing on creating whimsy in the everyday. You can find more information on Wild Flower Kids on their BLOG and in their STORE. A random winner will win 5 free digi images from the store and they are all so cute!

Lovely Labels/CPS155

I used CPS#155 and made this card for the Gina K. Designs Guest Designer Challenge using the stamp set Lovely Labels (illustrated by Nina Brackett). This is such a fun set for various styles and makes creating vintage cards a breeze, especially with Webster's Pages patterned paper. Yep, still using this dp and I have a totally different card with it tomorrow (not vintage at all...but floral). In keeping with the challenge, I used Gina K. Ocean Mist and Innocent Pink (and yep, it worked with the Webster's Pages patterned paper, happy day, happy day!), as well as Luxury Heavyweight Ivory for the base. In order to get the *right* color of Aqua, I stamped off the color once after inking and then stamped the image to use. It gave me a lighter tone of Aqua that fit the card design.
Thanks so much for stopping by and tomorrow is the Sketch Girls next sketch so be sure and check back and we would love for you to play along with us! Believe me it is a GREAT sketch :o)

Spring Florals: Birthday

I made this for Gina's challenge on her Blog and definitely want to try out for her Guest Designer spot for March. Gina said: "I will look at each entry throughout the entry period and choose one winner who will join the Gina K. Designs Team for the month of March. The designer will have the opportunity to participate in our previews, release party and design team/illustrator blog hop challenge and will receive our entire new release including the new upcoming StampTV kit, card stock and all 10 stamp sets from our upcoming March collection!"

Eeks, obviously I am a huge fan of her stamp line/cardstock/ribbon...why everything, LOL and know (without seeing anything) that next release will be a must have :o) I made this using the stamp set Spring Florals and the cardstock colors Creme de Menthe and Lemon Drop to make this springy card. The patterned paper is Basic Grey Origins and works very nicely with these colors. I stamped the flower image twice and paper pieced the flowers to add a bit of dimension. Honestly, I am longing for spring..today with the strong winds it feels about 30˚...bbbbrrrr!
Thanks so much for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

Card Patterns 52

A quick card to share today that I made using the Card Patterns Sketch 52. I used the new stamp set Oh, Baby and paper pieced the cute little teddy bear with some patterned paper from October Afternoon Ducks in a Row. I ended up making an emergency run on Saturday to my LSS because I HAD to have these Nesties for a few projects and knew it would be perfect for this sketch...have you ever HAD to have something pronto? It hit me late Friday night that these Nesties were a must have. I managed to work out other errands at the same time so it really wasn't just about Nesties, LOL!
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger

I made this for the Moxie Fab Trigger Tuesday challenge: Girly Gingham and Perky Pom-Poms. I just love red/yellow together and found this fun pom-pom notion in my stash and knew it would be perfect considering the inspiration! I used the new stamp set Lovely Labels for the Labels 4 Nestie. The label was inked with So Saffron and I went over the edges of the stamp with a small red ink pad which just gave it a cool look. I am tickled with ow this turned out...maybe a little Shabby Chic, I think??? If so, to be honest...I just kind of happened upon this one :o)
Thanks so much for stopping by!

CSS Hope is Faith Blog Hop

Feelings of Hope

Gina challenged the CenterStage Spotlight team to make a card with the new Hope is Faith stamp set using the photo above for inspiration. Check out Gina's blog for all the details on this special stamp set.

The inspiration for this card came from the colors...

I used the crackle background stamp and bleach to create a cool background on Green Apple cardstock. I love the yellow that popped up as a result of the bleaching...it just tied the colors together so well from the focal image. I used the beautiful butterfly from Hope is Faith as well as Bold Flowers and Elegant Flowers for this card.

Be sure and stop by these designer's participating in the hop tonight:
Thanks so much for stopping by and hope you have a wonderful day!
Blessings,

CSCC#66 - Clueless

It has been a busy few days around here. My mom came for a few days, dh and I went on a rare date night and then ds broke his arm on Tuesday :o( Yikes... Like I said, it has been busy...

I did manage to get this card made late last night. I had the idea for the Cinema Saturday Creative Challenge which was the movie Clueless this week (and to incorporate plaid into our project), and finally found an opportunity to create after things settled down for the night...I think I am a late night stamper, LOL! I thought as girly as the movie Clueless was I would definitely use some pink...

I found some DCWV plaid patterned paper and used matching colors Chocolate Chip and Pink Pirouette. I used the stamp set Retro Boutique and Nina's new label set Lovely Labels (and found plaid there... cool!) Obviously I couldn't stop there and also used some gingham pink ribbon from the Spring ribbon collection from GKD. :o) Lots of plaid and it is all good, hee-hee.

Be sure to check back later tonight when the next CCS Blog Hop goes LIVE...we are all sharing projects created with the new stamp set Hope is Faith from Gina K. Designs.
Have a wonderful day!
Blessings,

Skipping Stones Designs: Hop(e) for Haiti

Welcome to Skipping Stones Design’s Blog Hop(e) for Haiti. I know that when the 35 second earthquake struck on January 12th we really had no idea of the massive devastation that was yet to be seen from Haiti.... Each card on this hop today will be auctioned off on Ebay with all of the proceeds going to the Red Cross in support of the Haitian Relief Effort. Here are two cards I made for this special Hop(e) for Haiti using the stamp sets Healing Wings and Funny Coffee ...

As a company, we wanted to do something to give back to the people who have been so devastated by the Haitian Earthquake. So we thought what better way than to invite some of our favorite stampers to join us in this cause. Each card you see on the blog hop today will be auctioned on E-bay with all proceeds going to the Red Cross in support of the Haitian Relief Effort (please check the Skipping Stones Design Website for the link to the auction). 100% of the proceeds of the Ebay auction and $2.00 from every stamp set purchased from February 16 - 22 will be donated to the Red Cross. We know that we can make a difference.

If you just happened upon my blog today, you’ll want to go back to the beginning at Skipping Stones Design. You should have come from my friend Deb Felt’s blog.

Before you go...How about a prize? In addition to the fabulous eye candy, we have decided to hide a prize somewhere along the hop! There will be a few pre-release sets up for grabs hidden along the blog hop. The fun part is...we're not telling you who it is! So as you hop, make sure you leave comments on every post so you have a chance to win!! You can find a complete list of the designers participating on the Skipping Stones Design Blog.

Thank you for stopping by and your next stop is Jeanne Tomshack.

Sketh Girls #12

Sketch Girls has a fabulous sketch this week that is not to be missed. I made mine using my favorite green Wild Wasabi and found some scraps of Afternoon Tea DSP from SU. Instead of a having a rectangle as the focal image, I made mine into an oval and used part of a Fancy Tag from Spellbinders.

Our sponsor this week is Sassy Studio Designs who will be providing the randomly drawn winner with 4 images of their choice. These are so cute that I am sure there will be something right up everyone's alley! I hope you will play along with us on this sketch and make sure you link your creation to the Sketch Girls Blog. You may be the winner of four images of your choice from Sassy Studio Designs :o)

Be sure to stop by the other sketch girls designers for even more inspiration with this fabulous sketch!

CPS153

I made this for the CPS #153 Sketch this week. I loved the center focal image on the sketch and pulled out some older retired SU designer paper. The beautiful orchid image is from the stamp set Lovely Shelf, And would you believe I even managed to finish the inside:

I do love green...all shades, it screams spring which I am longing for!
I do have a bit more news to share...

Next Tuesday I will be participating in a special Hop(e) for Haiti along with the Skipping Stones Design Team and some other fabulous designers. I am excited to be a part of this creative group and know that together we are going to make a difference!
Blessings,

Hello

I stamped quite a few cards over the weekend using this color palette and noticed I didn't have as many scraps as normal which is a good thing...maybe I should start stamping in groups of cards :o) I stamped the flower image from Eclectic Summer with Memento, paper pieced the pot and colored the flowers with my Copics. I wanted some pearl bling to match up with the sage green, but didn't have any.... but then I spied my Copics and thought I would try coloring some white pearls to match and that really did the trick!!! Yes, Linda...I know it is matchy~matchy :o)
I hope you have a wonderful day!

Limelight Sketch Challenge #40

I managed to get a card made for the Limelight Sketch Challenge this week. The focus was on hearts and I wanted to use colors that weren't the typical choice for a Valentine card. I love the stripe patterned paper in Earth Love from Cosmo Cricket paired it with Sage Shadow and So Saffron. The heart is actually a piece of chipboard that I covered with matching patterned paper. The sentiment is from Unity.

Thanks so much for stopping by and hope you have a great weekend!

CP49 and CPS152

Just a couple of quick cards to share...My little one took a 2 hour nap and that meant was able to sneak off to stamp a good little bit and get creative. :o) I made this for the Card Patterns 49 Sketch challenge this week. I used Fancy Pants The Daily Grind patterned paper and created a "friend" card. I love the sentiment from Thanks a Million. The flower and "friend" are from Bold Flowers.

And...this card is for the CPS 152 Sketch this week which was quite interesting! I used Lovely Shelf on this one and made a much needed thank you card using Basic Grey Bittersweet patterned paper and Kraft cardstock.
I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger

I made this for the Trigger Tuesday challenge over on Moxie Fab. The inspiration for this card came from the two rows of three. When I saw the Tuesday Trigger Patchwork Hearts, I immediately thought of using this sweet little tea cup from the stamp set Lovely Shelf. The tea cups were stamped onto Dali patterned paper from the Gypsy Basic Grey line, cut, and lined up on a piece of Ivory cardstock. I also used a scalloped border stamp from Vintage Borders. In keeping with the "three" theme, I added three pearl pink Bling from Basic Grey.

*Stamping Tidbit*
I stamped the tea cups first with Memento Black and realized Memento Rich Cocoa would have gone better with Kraft so redid all six. Isn't it neat the things you notice after you take the picture :o)

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day!

Lots of Pink!

Do you think this has too much pink? I am a girly girl (who loves pink) and kind of got carried away... (but I like it). I used Nina's set Lovely Shelf and the sentiment is a favorite of mine from Autumn Leaves and just perfect for a *thinking of you* type of card! I used the new Innocent Pink cardstock and love how it is a perfect match for the dots in the patterned paper!
Well, insomnia hit again and I am up way too late!

And OLGA, Happy Birthday!!!!
Thanks for stopping by and hope you have a wonderful day!
