SNSS Eskimo Kisses

Can you believe it is the last day of January? Oh my, the month has just flown!
I have a square card to share today that I made with the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps set Eskimo Kisses. Aren't they just so cute! I recently taught my youngest (22 mo.) how to give Eskimo Kisses and it is so sweet :o)

I also have a bit of news to share... If you haven't heard, SNSS is going completely digital with their images! Digis are HUGE and SNSS has some of the best in the biz. Due to computer/internet/printing issues I am stepping down from the Design Team. It has been a wonderful experience working with Korin and the other girls at SNSS and I wish them the best in the future and know will continue to grow by leaps and bounds. :o)
I hope you have a wonderful day!

SG11 and an Award

This was a challenging sketch for me...I know the other girls will have some fabulous designs, but I struggled with mine :o(

I used the new Organize Stamp TV Kit for mine and made a birthday card. I am always lacking birthday cards and scrounging around to create last minute... I am glad I tried it though, it made me stretch from my normally clean lines of design. After seeing what the others create, I may try again :o) I hope you will play along with us on this sketch and make sure you link your creation on the Sketch Girl blog and you may be the winner of a template of your choice from Perfect Presentation!

My dear friend
Olga gave me the sweetest award:

This award requires that I list 10 things about myself and I pass it onto 10 fellow bloggers so here it goes...
10 things about me in no particular order....

1. I love sushi, YUM!
2. I am getting the hang of Facebook.
3. I am a nightowl.
4. I love flannel sheets in the winter.
5. I graduated high school 3rd in my class of 3...
is that last?) :o)
(very small school in Japan...the others were just way more focused than me, LOL!)

6. I would love to work at Starbucks one day.
7. Procrastinating is a great flaw of mine.
8. I love days when I can stay in my pajamas ALL day!
9. I need to shave...my legs!
(obviously I am running out of interesting things!)
10. I am thankful for all my online friends!

I will pass this on to the Sketch Girls!!! Can't wait to see what your top 10 things are! Be sure to stop by and see what they did with the sketch this week. The Sketch Girls:
Annie, Julie, Alyssa, Harriet, Tiffany, Randee, Bonnie, Amber, Katie, Jessica, Sara, and our Guest Designer Laurel
Thanks so much for stopping by. It is snowing here and for NC that is RARE! Hope you have a great day, I know we will :o)

Card Patterns Sketch 48

Card Patterns has another fabulous sketch this week. For my card, I used the leafy stamp from the Organize It Stamp TV Kit and the sentiment from Flowers for Daisy. The patterned paper is from the new Basic Grey Origins which match perfectly with the colors in the STV Kit: Sweet Corn and Fresh Asparagus. I really love this green...note to self: order more!
Thanks so much for stopping by and hope you have a great day!

CAS

Just a quick card to share today. This was a simple design I saw on Stamp TV and had to try myself. I love the CAS look to this (all of the stamp are from the Organize It Stamp TV Kit) and know this could be mass produced in a cinch...

Busy day here with grocery shopping and some mending. Does anyone else put that off? My poor dh asked me for two weeks to mend a shirt and I keep forgetting... ;o) Off to fix that now...Have a great day!

Limelight Sketch Challenge #39

I hope you are enjoying your weekend! I wanted to share a card I made using the Limelight PaperCrafts #39 sketch challenge this week. This time I paid close to attention to the directions ....not real big on always following directions, KWIM? Anyways, with this sketch Mandy wanted us to incorporate Canvas into our project somehow so I used my SU Canvas BG stamp both on the focal image and the card base. I used the stamp set Special Delivery from Tami Mayberry and thought the postal grid fit perfectly with the sketch. Thanks for stopping by and hope you have a great weekend!

Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps

I have a couple of cards to share from the January Release... The first one uses the sketch (minus the twist: a sentiment as the focal point) from this week over at the Sweet Stop Blog and the stamp set Eskimo Kisses. I colored the image with Copics, cut it out and popped them up on dimensionals to give them a little lift. I have so enjoyed the stamps this release and would be hard pressed to pick an absolute favorite.

I have one more card to share using the stamp set Melody of Love. It is a beautiful stamp set with such pretty Scripture verses and greetings.

I colored the violin with Copics and wanted to give it an aged look... Thanks so much for stopping by and I pray you have a wonderful day!
Blessings,

The Best Things...

I am a huge fan of sketches and this week Nina is hosting the sketch challenge over at Card Patterns. I also made this for the Moxie Fab Start to Finish Challenge and did the inside as well. I have been trying to make more of a concerted effort to *complete* my cards, inside and out this year. I used three different stamp sets for this card: Lovely Shelf, The Best of Life and My Cuppa' Joe (for the steamy swirls).

I made this for my daughter who has developed a great appreciation for hot tea. This year her grandmother gave her a whole gift package full of various loose tea, a tea pot, strainers and a special tea mug for Christmas. Each evening (about an hour before bed) she takes off for the kitchen to make the perfect cups of tea for us both. She makes a mean London Fog (Earl Grey tea, hot steamed milk with a touch of Vanilla syrup). Isn't that sweet :o) It is just delightful and something I look forward to each evening. I made this card for her to show her how much I enjoy this special treat each evening. She really is just the sweetest...my only girl and there is a special bond between mothers and daughters!

I combined this sketch challenge with the Inspiration Challenge CIC42 from Hope Stamps Eternal which had some beautiful cupcakes as the inspiration. My inspiration came from the colors of the cupcakes and I used Groovy Guava and So Saffron.

Thanks so much for stopping by and I pray you have a wonderful day!

Moxie Fab: It's Color Play

I am sliding in during the last few hours for my card for the Moxie Fab It's Color Play challenge. I have been thinking on this for a bit and nothing would come together for me so I gave it one more shot this afternoon using Lovely Shelf...

I used Bravo Burgundy, Marigold Morning (both SU) and Soft Sand (GKD) with White. The pop of purple for me came from coloring the flowers with a Copic and this purple flower that Tina sent me...love these big flowers :o)
I hope you have wonderful day!

**The Sketch Girls Sketch Challenge is below this post**

I have a really quick project to share that I made using the new Organize It Stamp TV Kit for the CardPatterns Sketch 46. This is a new challenge blog for me and hope to participate whenever possible. I loved the tag on this sketch so as soon as the little one went down for a nap, I took off to my stamp room! I used Soft Sand cardstock as my card base and found the new Basic Grey Origins to match very nicely! I can tell already I will be ordering more of this 6x6 patterned paper...it has all of the subdued colors I adore!
Have a great day!

CSS Inspiration Blog Hop

It's time for another GinaK CenterStage Spotlight Team Blog Hop!

Each artist was asked to design their project by drawing inspiration from these photos of the AMAZING Christmas Cookie Bouquet the CSS Team sent to Gina's DT Coordinator Jessica Fick:

I love these photos of Jessica's children with the goodies! The cookies look about too cute to eat and I just adored those mittens so much and obviously that is where my inspiration came from:

I used the stamp set Warm and Wonderful from Rupa Shevde for my card. Just love those mittens :o) I know everyone has a lot of share today so will keep my part short :o) Enjoy the hop and it is sure to be FILLED with fabulous inspiration for us all!

Click on these links to see what the participating Designers have prepared for us tonight:

Thanks for stopping by :o)
Blessings,

Lovely Shelf-Birthday Card

I recently won a challenge over at Stamp TV and chose the Lovely Shelf illustrated by Nina Brackett. I have seen so many fabulous designs with this set and had it at the tippity top of my wishlist for ordering ASAP :o) So obviously it was a no brainer for what I would choose (though I was quite tempted with other GKD sets on my ever growing list!)

I made this card using a sketch challenge hosted by Theresa Momber over on SCS for the release party and flipped it on its side. I adore pink/Kraft together...almost as much as pink/brown. I hope you have a wonderful day and if you get a chance stop back by tonight. This evening (11 PM EST) there will be another CSS Alumni Blog Hop for Gina K. Designs that I am so excited to be a part of again... This time it is an Inspiration Challenge and let me tell you...they might be too good to eat! :oP

Limelight Sketch Challenge #38

I made this card for the Limelight PaperCrafts Sketch Challenge #38 this week. **edited to add I just realized I forgot to add buttons for the challenge, Ooops! Better read it more clearly next time** I loved the sketch and hope it is alright that I flipped it :o) It just worked with my image and sentiment. I combined this sketch with a challenge over on the Gina K. Designs forum on SCS which was to make a Valentines card without using red or pink. My goodness that was hard, but thankfully I had some of this patterned paper from the Basic Grey Bittersweet line!
I hope you have a great rest of your weekend...

CPS Sketch and a B'day

I have two cards to share today...
The first is for the Card Postioning Systems sketch this week which has Gina K. Designs as their sponsor, now how great is that??? I love the sketch and thought of doing a butterfly card, but saw some were thinking the same so came up with this which uses the fun set Framed Friends illustrated by Asela. My favorite color combo ever is pink and brown and this definitely fits the bill. :o)

I have one more card to share today...for my hubby. I used a few sets for this one: Calendar Grid, Calendar Bits and Pieces and the clock from Timeless Treasures...

Today he turns FORTY.... How is he forty? Nah, just teasing, forty isn't that old! The closer I get to it the younger is seems, right??? Don't answer if you are in your low 20's... Thankfully I am younger than him and can give him a hard time (which I do....) hee-hee...
When the Lord called him to our first church (back in 1995) we had only been married a year and the young girls in the church thought I was his daughter...yep, too funny! LOL! Happy Birthday babe, I love you!!!
Hope you have a great day!
Blessings,

I am so excited...today Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps is releasing new stamps! There are 6, which are available as the January Release Bundle or individually if you prefer and they are amazing! You have to check them out :o) If you are not sure about clear stamps, let me assure you these stamp perfectly with absolutely residue or problems whatsoever.

Today I want to share another card I made using the stamp set Eskimo Kisses. I used the Sweet Stop Sketch from this week and went more along the pastel route for this one because I wanted to use this wide lavender ribbon :o) I am tickled with how it turned out and hope you like it.

Busy day here so best get to it. Have a wonderful day!

SNSS Sneak Peak & JUGS14

I have another sneak peek of an adorable new stamp set coming from
Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps! This one is called Eskimo Kisses and will be available tomorrow.... :o) These two are so adorable and I have lost count of the number I have stamped, colored and waiting to mount onto a card. When I saw the Just Us Girls Challenge this week (which is a sketch), I just knew these stamps would be perfect! For this one, I wanted more muted coloring to go with the Basic Grey Wassail dp so I used my long neglected Water Color Crayons. It seems with Copics I have really forgotten other colors mediums...

I do hope you have a wonderful day! I would love to stamp some today, but I do believe my ironing pile is calling my name...
Blessings,

Thank You...

Thank you so much for so many of your sweet comments for Melanie's recent blog hop! Melanie is just amazing and so very creative. I enjoy working with anything she illustrates and just saw some sneak peeks for the upcoming release on Thursday night and my wallet is concerned...I am trying to be careful but they are making it utterly impossible! LOL!

I made various thank you cards for all of the thoughtful gifts and gestures extended to our family over the Christmas season and was pleased with how this one came together. I wanted to simply a bit, but still have a nice looking card. The patterned paper is some old SU I had from many years ago and matches perfectly with Gina K. Designs Cranberry Tart (which also happens to be a favorite color now...so much better than Cranberry Crisp even and I was a huge fan of that color). I stamped the border using Nina's set Vintage Borders and the sentiment is from the Holiday Cheer Stamp TV Kit.

Thanks so much for stopping by and hope you have a wonderful day!

SNSS ~ Melody of Love

I have another Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps sneak peek to share with you...this is a gorgeous new stamp set called Melody of Love that will be released this coming Thursday, January 7th. I adore anything with musical instruments and beautiful sentiments and this certainly hits the spot with both. The font of the sentiments in this new set is so soft and pretty. I love the way SNSS incorporates Scripture verses into so many of their stamp sets, it is truly a blessing to those of us wanting to share our faith. I used mine on the inside...

Thanks so much for stopping by and leaving your sweet comments :o)
Have a wonderful day!

Melanie's Blog Hop

Melanie Muenchinger is celebrating two years of blogging and illustrating for Gina K Designs, and today she has invited 25 designers and YOU to join the party!

I still remember the email from Melanie in July asking me to be her Guest Designer for Inspiration Mosaic (and yes, I still have it saved in my email files...) I am so excited to participate with this creative group and MADE time to get crafty with this fabulous set Inspiration Mosaic! With all of the holiday cardmaking, I hadn't used it in several weeks and went overboard...I made THREE cards (can you tell Linda is rubbing off on me??? LOL!)

This one just uses Inspiration Mosaic to show how all alone it is a GREAT set with so many possibilities! I simply stamped the grid on Fancy Pants Designs patterned paper and using my SAMJ stamped the sentiments, easy-peasy!

With this one I combined it with My Cuppa' Joe and some fun patterned paper.

And for this final one, I used some rub-on stiches to create a stitched background on my Mosaic and combined it with Melanie's Wee Tees stamp set.

So how does this involve you and some prizes????
